A very listenable and relaxing album, one that has grown on me over time. The songs fit together very well, in particular I like 'New Kid In Town' and 'Pretty Maids All In A Row'. All of the songs are meaningful, and I'm still getting more from this album each time I listen to it.

I listen to an expansive range of musical styles and ages, from "The Classics" right through to Metal. Now I'm not calling myself an expert in the field by any means, but you can usually get a gut feeling pretty quickly about the effort, imagination and skill put into any work - and this album, from the first listen - give you audio pleasure at every turn. It just oozes skillfull musicianship and beautifully crafted harmonies. The type of work that will always be considered a classic and will always be replayed by the listener over and over again. As for the opinions about Young's involvement etc - it really doesn't matter - CSN were already fantastic - adding in Y was simply a case of adding an extra ingredient of a similar style - and for me ... If you are after a collection of the more 'radio friendly' tracks that this consistent trio put out during their early to middle period you can't do better than this and at what a price (less than £3 at time of writing). If you are after a little more, a collection that has all of these tracks plus excellent 'album tracks' as well, go for 'GOLD' a 2cd set which gathers together the truly best from the same period.

This album is quite different to Nevermind. It is more gritty and less mainstream. Each song has a distorted sound to it but this album is still just as enjoyable as Nevermind is. It is less mainstream, more shouty and screamy and no polish is to be found anywhere on this album.
The best song on the album is 'Milk It'. With the awesome shout-along chorus to the excellent guitar rift the song is this albums 'Smells Like teen Spirit'. Just more gritty. The song is just amazing! I cannot get it out of my head and I am listening to it as I write this review.
'Heart Shaped box' is an excellent song with another excellent chrous. This song is so good because the song has multiple meanings. You can intepret it in anyway you want. ... Read More:

If I had to burn my rock CD collection but were aloud to keep a handful, I know that Meatloaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" would be one of albums that i'd save straight away.
This album is just pure genius and one cannon't fail to be surprised when knowing that it's still a bestseller even today, three decades after it was first released.
Awesome songs, awesome album, do yourself a favour and buy it!
Release Date April 30, 1991
I can't come down too hard on this one because I'm afraid I'm not passionate about this kind of music anymore. As the years have passed, and as I've moved on to other types of music and other bands it's become rather too easy to appear smug and pompous in my opinions of the music known as grunge, the music that frankly coloured most of my tastes from age 15-20, but that now seems self-indulgent and humourless.
I had wanted the Temple of the Dog album for many years, but I didn't get it until recently. Once a girl in a club told me she was going to bring a tape of if in, and leave it behind the bar - all I had to do was go back and ask for it. I never did. I didn't believe she'd actually leave it there. Maybe it's still there now. Maybe if I had gone and collected ... Read More:

I want to start by saying i will always be a fan of Scott Weiland , whatever he does . Stone Temple Pilots were and still are a superb rock band and Guns N'Roses are still an iconic band to this day . So i was always a bit worried that these couldn't mix well , but i was so wrong ! The first five songs on this album are pure rock genius , mixing great old fashion riffs that only Slash could play with quality lyrics that only Weiland could have wrote . Also Slash and Duff sound like they made this album halfway through making 'Appetite For Destruction' . All i can say is every song on this album did not dissapoint in anyway . It's a shame it didn't get the credit it deserved ....
Release Date October 22, 2007
This album has been the subject of lukewarm critical review and it's not hard to see why, it's probably the most difficult album to categorise and get a handle on the music industry has seen in a while. Don't believe them though, this album is inspired.
From Empty Walls in this album delivers blow by blow the strange, unique, witty and angry presence of Serj Tankian and he's not pulling any punches. This album can make you feel mournful, angry, contemplative and elated in one sitting and will always leave you wanting more. Elect the Dead *is* hard listening and even the most dedicated previous System fans might take time to adjust to it but once you've managed to get it in to your head it'll never leave.

It's hard to believe that this album manages to maintain the standard set by Who's next which is very possibly the greatest rock n' roll album of all time. The album features some of the Who's best songs including The Real Me, 5.15 and love reign o'er me. However this is not all and there is not a single dissappointing song throughout the album including other tracks like Quadrophenia, Sea and Sand, The Punk and the Godfather as well as Bell Boy.
The band members are arguabely at their best in Quadrophenia. Moons performance on The Real Me is one of his best, up there with Who Are You and Wont Get Fooled Again. Townshends song writing is just inspiring, Entwistle is also outstanding throughout and in my opinion this is Daltrey's best album.
Release Date June 30, 2008
Lights Out, and Too Hot to handle rock with enough riffs from the teutonic axe god Michael Schenker combined with the vocals of Phill Mogg who even shows his tender side on Love to Love which is a mystery to why he wasn't considered to be up there by the press to share the stage with the likes of Paul Rodgers and David Coverdale.
