If I had to get rid of my beloved Bon Jovi collection but were allowed to keep a handful of items, I know for a fact that i'd save the album, "These Days" because without any doubt, it is one of the band's very best work with every track on the CD, a true gem.
If you don't already own this album yet then I can only recommened that you purchase it soon because in my opinion, this could very well be the greatest Bon Jovi album to date. My favorites tracks are "These Days", "Something For The Pain", "Hey God" and "If That's What It Takes" but i'm truely fond of every track. Bon Jovi had a great moment in their career when they released this critically acclaimed, no.1 masterpiece!
If you're just going to buy a few Jovi albums, then please ... Read More:

Okay, so this isn't Dylan or the Beatles, but it sure is fun.
Lynyrd Skynyrd's debut album isn't just "the one with 'Free Bird' on it", it's much more than that, one of the original group's best efforts, and quite possibly the best one of the lot. It mixes heartfelt ballads, country, swaggering riff-rockers, and the delightfully silly down-home boogie-rock of "Gimme Three Steps" and "I Ain't The One".
I do prefer the slightly tougher (and string-less) live rendition of "Tuesday's Gone" from the "One More From The Road" album, but this one is no throwayay either. And you can't help but love the aforementioned "Gimme Three Steps" and "I Ain't The One", a wonderful blend of self-deprecating "hick" lyrics and gritty guitar riffs.

Hm. I do think other reivewers here are vastly overrating these guys. Good band. Certainly a confident debut album -seem to have a bit more than alot of their emo/hardcore peers. But 'masterpiece'?? Not really.

I'd recomend highly of not buying this CD, unless you intend to use it in a video (so that it isn't protected).
Why not buy the CD? Its a very good CD and film, yes, but the songs are 90% useless without the videos, like Beelzeboss. Beelzeboss is a rock off with Satan, with amazing dancing (in a sarcastic way) so, the video is kind of important for this and many others. I tried listening to Beelzeboss, didn't feel the same. There's not much point in buying it, unless ya gonna use it in a film of somekind. Best option for you is too download the videos off of google-video (this is still staying legal these options), purchasing off of Itunes or various other options you may find (perhaps filming it ya-self).

I bought this a couple of years ago as my first Sabbath album and i was blown away by it. You'll find no filler here just all killer tracks. The album starts of with the classic track Black Sabbath wow what a track they made this track to scare people they did there job well, the track is about finding out satan has picked you as the chosen one and the freaky thing about it is geezer butler wrote this after seeing a black shaped figure at the end of his bed (now thats creepy), the next track is The Wizard which is my personal favourite track it has a hermonica playing at the then goes into a mindblowing heavy riff which you wouldnt really think it came from the early 70s. My other favourite tracks are N.I.B a kinda more bluesy song mixed with metal a great ... Read More:

This is quo at its best - tracks like backwater and just take me out rival punk and quite frankly many modern bands. The remastering is excellent - rossi and coughlan up in the mix. 5/5

This album is so terrible. Infact the tracks were so terrible I sent mine back. If you want to listen to proper music, listen to REM and THE BEATLES.

Like the previous reviewer I was appalled at the number of five star reviews for this album and had to set the record straight. If you look up 'soporific' in the dictionary you will see a picture of this album. Truly Stereophonics blandest album, this should be the very LAST album of theirs you should buy. This album will send you to sleep faster than a Dido album on repeat play. I would compare it to 'Be Here Now' by Oasis, except that Be Here Now was a lot more fun.
Apart from 'Handbags and Gladrags', which is a fine cover of a fine song, the songs on offer here are really too dull for words. 'Mr Writer' is a good sentiment and an okay song, but even that one plods along so slowly it feels like the sonic equivalent of trying to swim through treacle. It's quite telling ... Read More:

First off I'd like to point out that FTATR would be a five star review if it was compared only to the majority of the dross presently pumped out. The problem is that it can only be compared to Back in Black given that they were produced so close together and have in many ways a similar sound. And there is the slight problem - Back in Black is a "once in a lifetime" album and as I can only give five stars then FTATR must have less. It's still a great record though and it along with Flick of the Switch and Fly on the Wall make up the best period of records that AC/DC pumped out with Brian Johnson after BiB. There is on this record of course a couple of classics - For Those About to Rock and Lets Get It Up can bear comparison to anything on Black in Black easily. The rest of the songs are ... Read More:

This album is certainly not one of the Kid's best efforts. After the sucess of the Devil Without a Cause album, it seems something deserted him here. I like Kid Rock but this album isn't his best. The only tracks I really liked were American Bad Ass, Early Morning Stoned Pimp and 3 Sheets to the Wind, the rest of the album isn't very good, and I would recommend leaving this be and getting his first album or his more recent album Cocky instead.
