I only recently got into WT after seeing them support Iron Maiden at Twickenham and this was the first album I bought. It is quite simply brilliant. Comparisoms with Evenescence are unwarrented as WT are in a different league. This album is an excellent place to start but the earlier ones are brilliant as well (especially Mother Earth). the music also transcends the generations as all my 3 teenage boys have become WT fans as well has many of their freinds at school. Buy this album if you have any interest in melodic rock - you won't be disappointed.

It could be that this was my first introduction to Hendrix, but I maintain to this day it is the best of the 'Jimi Hendrix Experience' studio albums. I say this for a great number of reasons.
First of all, lets assume you've never heard an 'Experience' album before, and want to dip your toe in the water. This album is a great place to start, as it eases you in with a nice gentle, yet sublimely funky number, before it crushes your head with Spanish Castle Magic. The album is like a gentle roller coaster ride of funky rocky highs, and gentle mellow dips, with an ease of access missing from the other two studio albums.
So that gets you into it, and opens your mind to the possibility of exploring Hendrix further. At this ... Read More:

Well, you just have to look at the track listing to see this is probably the best Christmas CD you're ever going to buy! Imagine having Heavy Metal Christmas songs playing when your friends and family drop around during the festive season. Honestly, this is the best Christmas CD I've heard, ever!
Lemmy, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, Ronnie James Dio, Girlschool, Doro Pesch; and the list doesn't stop there. Go on and click, it's a corker!

I bought this on tape when it first came out, then gave it away. If you like rock, want ot hear KISS's hits, how the were recorded, buy Double Platinum, and then just buy Creatures of the Night, Lick it Up, Asylum, Crazy Nights, Revenge, Psycho Circus, and then Carnical of Souls.
And Guys, I I have them all, been to see them 6 times, will try and get to Download (was at the front last time at Donnington), and must advise you all to get out there and see "The Hottest Bad in the World, KISS" live and in the (probably decaying) flesh!
Also Alive, Alive II, Alive III, and Alive IV are very much worth buying...

As a person new to the band and what they had done previously i thought the first 3 tracks absolutely rocked one of the best starts to an album i've heard.
Downside being that theres only so much full on singing you can take which lets the rest of the album down pity their was'nt more songs in the mould of hypnotize which is the only other song i really liked.

After buying their new album a couple of years ago, i decided to check out their first 2 albums. Their debut album quite frankly is boring it has 2 good songs on it the rest sounded this same. This album however is deffinetly better. The songs here differ from each other, and everything has improved. Best songs are My Plague, The Heretic Anthem & Iowa. This album is very heavy, but brutal? who knows. But the thing that pisses me off is people keep comparing Slipknot to Slayer that's just not right, Slayer are one of the greatest metal bands to hit the planet yeah slipknot are good their no slayer. So overall, indeed a great album much better then their debut. A great starting point for new slipknot fans.

I'm new to Gojira and can't quite believe how bone crushingly brilliant this album is. Mastodon would appear to be a major influence and that's no bad thing. Fans of Blood Mountain will love this. Gojira are no clone though and stamp their own identity all over your face. From start to finish it's a brutally heavy rib-snapping tour de force.

This CD, whilst a great compilation of Lynyrd Skynyrd's most noted songs, appears to have a manufacturing/recording flaw in it. I have tried a couple of copies of this CD, and both have had the same flaw in it, so it appears every copy has it. In the last 30 seconds of the song "Simple Man", one of Skynyrd's finest in my opinion, the sound suddenly goes strange for about 2 seconds before returning to normal. It's not a jump in the CD, the sound quality just goes strange, and strange is the only word to describe it. As I mentioned, I have purchased more than one copy of this CD as I presumed this flaw would not be in all the copies, but it has been there in all the copies I've purchased, and I've had to return them all. When listening to the CD on a high quality stereo, this sound ... Read More:

I first heard this band on one of the satellite rock channels, the track was Shockwave. I have to admit I had been looking for a band like this for ages (I grew up with metal in the 80's). I love killer hooks & riffs, pounding bass lines, and great vocals (I hate emo like screaming that today's bands seem to pound out!). The fact that these guys are a bunch of teenagers is just odd, and that Gabriel their lead singer and guitarist is just 15, is bonkers. They play like they have been together for donkeys and have musical maturity well beyond their years! They are a very tight outfit.
As sounds go you can take a bit of Iron Maiden, Helloween, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica and Megadeth (sorry to appear so obvious!). This band sound like they should have been around 20 years ... Read More:
