"The Number Of The Beast" is an absolute classic, a landmark album in music/rock/metal history. And this reissue is an absolute disaster, with the classic cover printed in wrong colors, and the audio victimized by the infamous "loudness war" (Google the expression if you don't know what it means). Check out the right cover colors on Amazon.com item ASIN code B000063CML - just for the cover, as the audio should be the same as here. Avoid this thing and buy an older, non-enhanced and non-remastered CD edition of the album if you want to hear how this masterpiece is really supposed to sound. Shame on EMI for releasing this insult to the band and their fans.

We Are Scientists are a New York-based three-piece that released their debut album "With Love and Squalor" in 2005. As their name suggests, they look and talk like nerds. However, We Are Scientists do know how to pen songs that should prove strong commercial hits, as they cash in on the current vogue for post-punk songs that get you up on your feet and rocking.
The album clocks in at a pretty fast 12 tracks in 37 minutes and does not pause for breath at the start until the fourth track "Can't Lose". The record is heavily guitar-laden, with nearly all of the tracks containing hooks that are well worth hearing. Murray is on lead guitar and vocals and does both quite well, while Cain (complete with the dodgey 1980s 'tache and glasses) on bass ... Read More:

Forget all the hype & rubbish that surrounded the Sex Pistols & remember that this album changed music. The reason is that it simply is a truly great album.
I have owned it for nearly 30 years & it is still an album that is exciting to play.
Release Date February 23, 2004
This is just a fantastic album, with varying sounds and types of music. Expresses emotions ranging from anger to sadness, just a beautifully created album, I can't recommend this enough.

An all time classic album, often imitated, but never approached let alone surpassed. Zack's vocals are incredibly emotional, and the sheer tightness and funking musicality of the band is staggering (and that comes from a guy whos played in bands for 15 years himself.)
I loved this album to death fifteen years ago. Yet, when im teaching kids today and i put it on for them, it seems just as powerful for them as it was for me back then. Stunning.

Steve Earle music is best described as country-rock. The skull and cross bones that form the cover of Copperhead Road album warn of what is to come, a heavy mix of potent music shot through with the reflections of an wild young man who is older than his years. Inserts show a relaxed Earle, fag in mouth, black shades and dressed in denim.
A strong start with 'Copperhead Road' on which you can apparently 'smell the whisky burnin'; 'The Devil's Right Hand' refers to a pistol and though the song has a strange lyrical resonace it isn't until 'Johnny Come Lately' (on which the Pogues play) when the album begins to rock..
'Johnny Come Lately' tells the story of a soldier off to Vietnam who hopes to return to his girl in London and take her home to the ... Read More:

A raw, bone-dry production is matched emphatically with grinding guitars and a rock-solid rhythm section on this classic album. The songs on this album have real character; not the sing-along anthems of their 80's and 90's material, but pure blues-based hard rock with riffs, powerful vocals, amusing lyrics, and awesome leads from Angus Young. The character of his note selection and vibrato is equalled only by Bon Scott's rasping, leering vocals - but there's always a sense of melody behind the noise. Malcolm Young's rhythm guitar relentless chimes out powerchords, whilst bass and drums complete the backbone of a very special band in fine form. Footnote: Angus Young's amp started smoking and partially caught fire during the solo to the title track. He nearly stopped when ... Read More:

Memories of Rock are some of the strongest ones , allegiances are forged at an early age .
The first time you heard AC/DC's 'Let there be Rock'in your mates car years ago (like a Biblical Mantra) , sitting in a darkened room listening to 'Gates of Babylon' at full volume on your Dad's new stereo , crouched round your mates tiny battered record player endlessly repeating the 'Whole Lotta Of Love' solo ......Ah Bliss !
Time marches on , and the defining moments can seem to get further and further apart.
And then.....you hear Alter Bridge.........and it all comes back again.
Songs that sound like they were waiting to be written , stunning vocals from Myles and guitar solos that sail up and down your spine from Tremonti.

Notice how the bad reviews for this album came after the release of their second album "Beautiful Lie" and they put "The Kill" on Scuzz and now all the trendy boys like them cause "oooh the singer wears make-up and sings about songs that relate to my pain" and the girls like them cause "oooh he's hot" I mean the fact that one reviewer described the band as "part emo, part goth" just goes to show how lame their fanbase has become.
My advice would be to buy this album and pretend that they fell into a black hole afterwards, because Beautiful Lie sucked and they should be ashamed of themselves for selling out so bad.

I love piano music and after hearing one of the tracks on Classic FM was determined to buy a copy of this CD. I was looking forward to listening to it but after the first three tracks I started to feel disappointed. Einaudi is best listened to in isolation - ie on Classic FM. An entire CD of his is pretty boring and rather depressing to be honest. There is little differentiation from one song to the next: most are solemn, ponderous, many are written in 3/4 time giving the impression of a long waltz. I think hearing a track on the radio amongst other music does Einaudi's music more justice but he needs to vary the tone, the rhythm, and the mood of his pieces more, in my opinion, to be considered a composer of any real worth or value. Someone else said that this is at best music ... Read More:
