This album appears to many as a covers album, using none of their own material. This is definately not the case. The reason for this album was celebrating and applauding influences and good friends of the band (Cypress Hill in particular), by re-recording their hits. I use the word 're-recording' because the 'covers' of the songs are completely reworked to fit the mould of the Rage style we all know and love. People who simply dismiss this album really haven't listened to it properly. It may not be the same without Zack's phenomenal and awe-inspiring lyrics, but it is still a masterpiece. If you listen to the original versions of songs, such as Bruce Springsteen's The Ghost of Tom Joad, you would definately not say it was a cover, but ... Read More:

No other artist could come close to touching this album. Kid mixes so many genres together to make this album tantelizing and unique!. I bought this album a few years ago and to this day its novelty still hasn't worn off. Not only is it special in a way it's compelling in its origionality, but it is also warming to know that this album helped, if not revolutionised rock and rap by itself. This album stands out far beyond his other albums and prokes so many emotions in a wide range of songs. I strongly advise purchasing this album if you have found albums such as cocky, history of Rock or Kid rock or any of his previous albums appealing. It is an album which is full of heart and soul, and it should go down as one of the all time greats!. ... Read More:

After hearing Backstreet Symphony on the radio I decided to give this band a try, with a name like Thunder and the band being unknown to me at the time, I thought this song would probably be the only great song on the disc with a mix of good and average songs, like most albums, but thought I`d give them a shot - How wrong was I!
The CD was put in my CD player and didn't come out for a good week - no - it was a great week! Every song is simply amazing and the more you listen, the better it gets. The album is full of head bobbing, air punching, classic rock riffs that could turn a funeral into a party, mixed with a few epic ballad type tracks, the amazing Love Walked In and Until My Dying Day along with a dash of humour from Englishman ... Hawkwind. The first Album. Think of the early seventies. No group like them. More progressive than the Floyd and while Floyd stabilised, Hawkwind tore at your ears. Music and Art screaming for head room and moulded into a direction. There is no single sound here and each track is it's own package. This was Hawkwind checking the boundaries. A must for fans.

In terms of production, arrangement and structure this is a most impressive album. The most impressive part for me is Kahn's absolutely amazing singing voice. He is not a traditional metal singer, he sounds almost like a Broadway musical singer, an excellent one too, and his words are very clear.
The style of the music is very flamboyant and emotional. The musicianship is absolutely top-notch and combined with the vocals has some real goosebump moments.
The album kicks off with a 'Prologue' which is an instrumental with strange vocal noises and a ticking Grandfather clock. It is a warm up which flows seamlessly into 'Centre of the Universe' in the best progressive tradition. Centre of the Universe is symphonic and upbeat and ... Read More:

this is hands down the best incubus album to date, sorry folks but its all downhill from here. if you have just got into incubus this album might come as a shock to you with its heavy guitars, funky stlye and jazz like interludes. many fans of 'a crow left of the murder' may not like this, incubus' stle has got liter and more mainstream as time has gone on but s.c.i.e.c.e is them at thier most creative.
Highlight tracks, all of them! their all good! but my top three are:
'New skin' heavy and great to listen to
'deep inside' funky and smooth with a few suprises

I tend to agree with Mikey all this pontification about what Tool songs mean or don't mean or whether tool is a metaphor for living a certain way blah blahblah is pointless. I am a massve Tool fan and have seen their musical scale and scope grow since the early nineties into what has to be said a fantastic album in 10,000 days which is a real grower unfairly criticised by a lot of you on Amazon early on release but......... I don't hang on their every word, know all their views on climate change, when they were born or whether they talk in riddles and nor do I look for little gimmicky types of hippyesque quotes or stuff from the band. The most important thing is that the music is so unique that it moves you just like opera does. I can't speak Italian or understand ... Read More:

in my opinion post Back in Black it's been a steady decline for the band in terms of song quality, and this album together with Ballbreaker reaches new lows for one of my all time favourite metal bands. The songs are just, well boring. They have no meaning, the lyrics are repetitive and it's an album of rock 'b sides' at best.
I can only explain the good reviews from some is that they are young and experiencing AC/DC first time round and never really appreciated the 75 - 80 heyday when Bon's writing influence is now plain to see.
Best avoid this one and if you haven't done so already buy the early stuff.

All the Classic tracks are here, Still loving you, wind of change, rock you like a hurricane and many more.
This was my first album by the scorpions and to this day I have not grown bored the melodies are great, guitar solos send shivers down my spine. From the first track Loving you Sunday morning you'll be hooked on the power of these German Rock Gods
