3 CDs Led Zeppelin live in pristine sound quality is a dream come true. This is vintage and true Page-Plant-Jones-Bonham. CD 1 proves it all.
CDs 2 and 3 show indeed why punk treated them as dinosaurs: over-indulgent, boring, too long versions alternate with a few gems (Dancing days, Rock 'n' roll).
These and all the CD 1 tracks could have made a world class single live album.

every incubus album is on slightly different tone, and this is no exception. If you've got all their previous albums, now's no time to stop!

Went to see 'We Will Rock You', got 'Live Killers' the next day and didn't listen to much else for about a year or two. The energy, humour and their anthems make this one of the finest live albums ever recorded and once you're in there, you're on another planet. The balance of showmanship, pomp and full throttle heavy rock is perfect, and if you have heard Queen's early 70's live recordings then you know their roots. Mercury's vocal performance and showmanship is phenomenal, May's wall of sound fills whatever venue they were playing and Taylor's drumming, particularly his solo on 'Now I'm Here', marks him as the epitome of rock'n roll drumming. Sorry John, you got the initials. Maybe they should have called it a day then, following this they never got close ... Read More:

This is suprisingly underrated. In my opinion this album is awesome and goes along with all the other classic Iron Maiden albums. There are some really awesome maiden songs here Holy Smokes & Public Enema Number One are my favourites out of this album. I think only not too keane on Mother Russia it starts off cool and ends cool but a little repetitive (sorry to say). Iron Maiden after the departure of the guitarist Adrian Smith went onto more Rock N' Roll style which for isnt a bad thing it works for me so i think this album is awesome. Maybe not the best place to start with Iron Maiden but a very good buy for Maiden fans should i really be mentioning that?. New Iron Maiden fans start with The Number Of The Beast. UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!

This is not one of those Ozzy albums which will amaze the listener, but it does provide more than a little evidence that Ozzy can still rock. Ozzy also shows that he isn't afraid to update his sound a bit, as there is some experimentation here with industrial metal, though for my tastes I would have preferred that he did more of that instead of falling back to his older sound on some of the pieces.
The opening piece is "Not Going Away" which appears to be a biographical
statement about Ozzy not retiring. It is a solid piece and is one of the pieces on which he experiments with his sound, but ultimately it fails to grab the listener, and it did not grow on me with repeated listenings. Next up is "I Don't Wanna Stop", which is a similar lyrical message, but a stronger ... Read More:

After hearing Backstreet Symphony on the radio I decided to give this band a try, with a name like Thunder and the band being unknown to me at the time, I thought this song would probably be the only great song on the disc with a mix of good and average songs, like most albums, but thought I`d give them a shot - How wrong was I!
The CD was put in my CD player and didn't come out for a good week - no - it was a great week! Every song is simply amazing and the more you listen, the better it gets. The album is full of head bobbing, air punching, classic rock riffs that could turn a funeral into a party, mixed with a few epic ballad type tracks, the amazing Love Walked In and Until My Dying Day along with a dash of humour from Englishman On Holiday it's just a great album that you ... Sandwiched between the fifties-influenced and bluesy "In Rock" and the "heavy rock" classic "Machine Head", "Fireball" is most people's third choice in the magnificent early 70s triptych from Deep Purple. Granted there are not the anthems like "Highway Star", "Child In Time", "Smoke On The Water" or "Speed King" on this collection, but there's still some great hard rock in tracks like "The Mule", the title track, the extended blues rock workouts of "Fools" and "No One Came" and the iconic single "Strange Kind Of Woman". "Anyone's Daughter" is a bizarre trip into country rock that no doubt appalled the band's fans at the time ! However, overall this is an immaculately remastered piece of work, full of trademark Purple drums, driving organ, rumbling bass and cosmic guitar. Oh and I nearly forgot, Gillan's ... Read More:

If there was a single high point in the history of Man, between 1968 and 1976, this performance at the Roundhouse in June 1973 is a strong candidate. The entire concert is captured on this new 3 Disc Esoteric release. While the re-release of the original Back into the Future album which features on Disc 1 of the three disc set is more than welcome, it is the presentation of the entire Roundhouse set on Discs 2 and 3 which make this release the most important of the Esoteric re-release series so far. This concert represents Man at the peak of their powers and is head and shoulders above other live Man available on CD.
The whole concert is of a consistently high quality. There is not a bad number on this 7 track live set (8 if you count the introduction from the Gwalia Male Voice Choir). ... Read More:

Oh Angel Witch, you big occulted girl's blouses. You say you dabble in the occult do you? If by the occult you mean your sisters hair straighteners. Then yes, Kevin Heybourne harnesses the very powers of hell via an electrical wand in the depths of night... just before his mum shouts;
"Kevin, teas ready! It's your favourite bangers and mash!"
"Aw mum, you promised you wouldn't do this while Cronos is here!"
So in short; Angel Witch are pansies, the epitome of wimpy NWOBHM. They sound as if they wouldn't say boo to a goose. Cronos, Mantas and Abbaddon, if they lived in London, would kick them in the pub, the park, the graveyard, the bus station and even the library. After this old school rough-housing, Angel Witch would retreat to a quiet tavern and nurse their wounds over a rum and coke. ... Read More:
