Very much appreciated return to Alice's roots. Great, sneering vocals and the band sound tight, as they should for they are his established touring band. Vengance is Mine is the stand out track for me, Typical Slash guitar work and it makes the album worth the money on its own, and I feel sure that it will be included on the live setlist from now on.
Great stuff and I'm hoping that we see Alice back in December in the UK.

Along with Kind of Blue (Miles Davis), Follow the Reaper (Children of Bodom), and Clapton's CD with the Bluesbreakers, this is the best album ever. You should already own this. Seriously. The songs are all completely different, not a single filler track!

I bought this album as a teenager in the 70's and never felt it was one of zeps greatest albums compared to Physical Graffiti and vol4 so unfortunately it was the last of the remasters that I bought. Having listened to it a couple of times it has quickly become one of my favourates. Its understated beauty really hit me and touched me particularly "tangerine" and the really beautiful "thats the way". Pity the packaging doesnt reflect the curiosity of the original LP cover. Buy it and enjoy!

Well I guess I'm biased, but I loved Pornograffitti and so was looking forward to anything from Extreme to be honest. This album is a real mixed bag, but if you're a fan you will probably like it as it has all the incredients of their earlier records. Not least is Nuno's awesome guitar playing.
I was blown away by Nuno's style 18yrs ago and I still think he is the best rock guitarist ever. I've heard most of the shredders like Vai, Satch, MacAlpine, Timmons, Eric Glass, Gongalo, Guthrie Govan, Mattias Eklundh, Batio, Shawn Lane, Moore, Malmsteen, Rusty Cooley etc. etc. etc. and what they all lack compared to Nuno is 1. context and 2. rock sensibility. Nuno' solo's fit the songs. I also love the way he attacks the strings, with real conviction. If you like ... Read More:

..... And There Was Rock N' Roll. Second album by AC/DC and tis much better then High Voltage(not saying High Voltage was bad caus eit rocks). With a song like Let There Be Rock then you've got one amazing album. This album is raw rock N' Roll which is what rock n' roll should be. Every song here is awesome so you can listen to this album either out skipping a song and on full blast, after the album your head will hurt for days. Best song is Let There Be Rock(the video is awesome to it) but i do love the whole album but none of it is as good as the title sorry has to be said. Let this be your first AC/DC album as it kicks arse. Keep rockin' fellas.

Being a rock guitar freak of two decades' standing, it is with embarrassment that I confess to only having heard this record for the first time in my 39th year.
Clearly I went to the wrong school and hung out with the wrong, self conscious types, and stupidly we looked askance at this bogan rock. More fool us.
What a remarkable, single minded, self-assured, exuberant record this is, and what a master stroke for a bunch of scot-inflected teenaged aussies to have settled on such a perceptively observed formula and executed on it so flawlessly (and stuck with it for the thirty years since!). All of rock's evolved extravagant frippery is discarded or reduced down to its elements. The drums mark out a thumping 4/4 on-beat; stereo guitars crank out a primordial ... Read More:

'Shogun' is the new greatly anticipated album from Trivium. Now, I personally love Trivium. I've been a HUGE fan since Ember to Inferno and the album doesn't disappoint in anyway shape or form.
The blasting drum beats on 'Insurrection' can cause high amounts of mosh and head banging which as we all know is a huge plus! Other songs include, `Throes of Perdition', `Down From The Sky' and `Into The Mouth Of Hell' as well as many other killer tracks.
Heafy's powerful vocals, Corey's riffage, Paolo's pounding bass and Travis's blasting drum beats are breath-taking and for the die hard Trivium followers, this album only adds to their extensive collection of anthems. For the newer Trivium fans, this is the album you've been waiting for, the one that will change your life ... Read More:

As the title of this review says this album is awful. The best song by a long way is Sick, Sick, Sick which I first heard them perform live on the TV and thought, "Well hopefully things will get better". QOTSA are all about the tunes and heavy tunes at that.
This album is missing something and that something is Nick Oliveri. The bass is non-existent. Yuck this is just terrible.
I loved all their previous albums, I love the Desert Sessions, I loved Kyuss. What has gone wrong? I hate this album and all QOTSA have become: bloated crap.
Don't buy this! Buy any of their other albums! If you have all their other albums still don't buy it! Spend your money on some Nebula or Fu Manchu or put it in the bank.
