Dizzee Rascals latest album is by far his best yet, and extremely promising to do well.
I think firstly I should point out that, there is not one song on the album I don't love!
He's back with bigger, better beats- even better, if possible, than `Boy in the corner'.
My particular favourites Lily Allen remix `wana be', `flex', `sirens' and `bubbles'.
This album is a guaranteed amazing buy, one of the best albums you could ever buy, one of the best albums you could ever get.
Even though I have heard, and listened to the songs over and over again, I am yet to be bored, its just one of those albums you will always love.

The Black Album

To me, this was one of the best albums of 2003 (Speakerboxx/The Love Below won it for me). If you want to listen to hip-hop that steps outside of the box, this is definitely one you will like. While some tracks are better than others, there aren't really any that you will skip over straight away. Many albums have that (Kanye Graduation = Drunk and Hot Girls = Trash) so you've got to appreciate that Jay-Z put some thought into this instead of just filling the gap with generic tracks. Also this album has a HELL of a lot of highlights, including 'Public Service Announcement' (Which was meant to be an INTERLUDE!!!), and of course the well known 'Dirt Off Your Shoulders'. I first heard Linkin Park's `Crawling' on a Saturday morning music show- I had never heard anything like It. I'd never really been into music before, but the angst ridden, thundering chorus of this song really spoke to me. On the strength of the single alone I bought the album and - to my delight - loved it!

Even though the album and band where bourn for an era where short-lived Nu-metal ruled the world, after which many bands failed to move on from the sound which popularized them and subsequently where soon defunct, linkin park have survived and have since built on the solid foundation of Hybrid Theory, pursuing various sounds and becoming one of the only successful bands to meld together rap and metal.

What an exceptional sophmore album! I had heard 'Run' on the radio many times, found it to be a really likeable piece of music, so i decided to give the album a chance. I was blown away! It exceeds any of my expectations, and has to be one of my albums of the year. It doesn't have the problem of St. Elsewhere in which one song overshadowed the rest, in fact in contrast I can honestly say that any song on the album could be released as singles, they are all THAT good!

The album starts with the infectious beat of 'charity case', which is a simple song, instantly loveable with its twinkly rhythm.

after jay z had dropped reasonable doubt, a classic in every sense, and in my lifetime, a very underrated good album,it seemed he had fallen off, he dropped hard knock life vol, 2, which lost major points for having a guest appearance on every song, and the terrible(and i hate to say it) vol.3, jay z obviously took a long look at his mistakes, and made 1 hell of an album, this is album is a(as is the title) a blueprint for modern rap, jay z hired some brilliant producers for this, such as just blaze, the then unknown kanye west(this album made him the most wanted producer aside dr dre) and timbaland, and is lyrically excellent on it too, this album is extremely complete, as in, jay z is not afraid to show his soul to the world, and he raps about a variety of different ... T.O.S. (Terminate On Sight)

I thought someone needed to write a review having acutally listened to the album - so here goes.

If you have the slightest passing interest in any of the G-Unit members or Young Buck, or gangster rap in general - buy it.

From the opening homage to NWA, Straight Outta Southside, it's all good. No jokey candy-stick nonsense here, apart from the comedy "meeoow I need cash for my Kitty Kat" which just makes me smile every time I hear it!

Great beats, gangster lyrics and quality delivery (apart from the annoying vocoder on Rider Pt2).

Reasonable Doubt

if you though that jay z just made popcorn rap, and never really thought he was worth your time, or just thought he was an overrated commercialized rapper, listen to it, because it proves how talented he actually is, this album is a classic in every sense of the word, it has something most rap albums nowadays lack, subject matter, lyrics, beats, meaning and originality, this album is basically chronicling the ups and downs, regrets and joys of being a hustler, the beats to start off with are great, this album was mostly produced by dj premiere, and he did a fantastic job, the production is clean, crisp, and fit jay zs flow and lyrics, my next point, the lyrics, the lyrics are some of the best rap lyrics ever, jay z has a great mutli-syllable rhyming scheme, it is amazing ... Meteora

I hadn't heard of Linkin park until I heard "minutes to midnight" which I thought was an excellent and diverse album; however I got this last weekend and since then have had it blaring in my car constantly. As some of the other reviewers have said, it's really rock, with rap and metal elements, but just very very well done.

"from the inside" and "breaking the habit" are excellent tracks, but the highlight is "Numb", very in the same mould as "What I've done" from the later album, but if anything a sharper track, tighter backing with nicely done, understated scratches that are actually used as another instrument rather than just thrown over the top, and a truly awesome, angry chorus with the tagline "All I want to do, is to be more like me - and be less like you!"
