So I have waited a while to judge this album and I have to admit that I was keen to download it based on Chris Brown's previous album. Now not the use of the word... album. His eponymously titled debut album was a soooolid album. Very good melow cuts on the album which satisfied me with some good R&B music for a little while. I liked the singles but the album as a whole was one that I found I did not hit the skip button. This album is a very, very different type. I suspect it is because Chris Brown and or his record label decided that we are going to make a collage from many pieces and like a lot of collages it just ends up looking an inconsistent mess from a distance despite some otherwise high quality portions and ingredients.

There's a bit of a Bristol revival at the moment what with Massive Attack curating this year's Meltdown festival and new albums from Portishead and Tricky's first muse Martina Topley-Bird. Adrian Thaws to give him his proper name, a leading light of the nineties 'trip-hop' scene, has struggled to reach the heights of his début Maxinquaye with subsequent releases, and whilst he doesn't quite manage it with his latest either it is certainly his strongest material since then. He's enlisted plenty of support along the way and the album has an eclectic mix of sounds but most gratifying to hear, from one who potentially could have disappeared into an apathetic haze of spliff smoke, is some real creative energy being thrown at things.

after jay z had dropped reasonable doubt, a classic in every sense, and in my lifetime, a very underrated good album,it seemed he had fallen off, he dropped hard knock life vol, 2, which lost major points for having a guest appearance on every song, and the terrible(and i hate to say it) vol.3, jay z obviously took a long look at his mistakes, and made 1 hell of an album, this is album is a(as is the title) a blueprint for modern rap, jay z hired some brilliant producers for this, such as just blaze, the then unknown kanye west(this album made him the most wanted producer aside dr dre) and timbaland, and is lyrically excellent on it too, this album is extremely complete, as in, jay z is not afraid to show his soul to the world, and he raps about a variety ... Her first version of this album was very underrated I loved it, this is still a great album, the Work remix is worth it alone, but for some reason all the new songs except Daylight which is also great are slow songs, and for some bizaree reason she took of still in love with my ex which all fans said wanted to be the next single i really cant understand that move it was one of the best songs on the album. However this is still really good, just prefer the original version.

Sadly, despite having its moments, for most of this album delirious? seem to be a band whose day has gone, trying desperately to regain some momentum. Any hope of connecting again with the cultural mainstream in which `King of Fools' and `Mezzamorphis' once so proudly swam seems to have been abandoned with an album aimed squarely at the Christian sub-culture. Many of the songs plod where delirious? once soared and the lyrics confuse where once they inspired. Why is God smiling when our hearts are broken? Does the Spirit really teach us to distance ourselves from the world when we live our dreams and sing a new song?

Dive Deep

I was a massive fan of Big calm. Listened to it non stop a few years back but since then i kind of forgot about Morcheeba and subsequently did not get much play time on my ipod.. Then my Girlfriend surprised me with tickets to watch them at the Shepherds Bush Empire. They blew me away!

As soon as i got home i listened to there new album which i didnt even know was out. I think it is the best album they have done. Absolutely briliiant, some real hair on the back of your head classic tunes like 'Enjoy the ride' 'Gained the world' 'Sleep on it'.

Great Album a must for any collection!!

Been wanting to see this film and finally got my chance to watch it, Fantastic dance moves, yes people are gonna say it's like "Save the last dance" but you might as well say all music and dance films are like "saturday night fever and dirty dancin" lol... but they are so good to see...

The Music is very HIP HOP! if you are a R&B/Hip Hop lover, then this cd is worth buying, even if you havn't watched the film... it's got some really great tracks especially "Ciara" which is a fab tune "Get Up"...

Why not buy this album and Step up in your living room...

I didn't buy mine from Amazon, and wish I did cuz it's cheaper here :( but never mind, I got it now lol...

Well worth a listen and a dance...

I love all kinds of music, from the mainstream to the obscure, from rock thru funk to country. But honestly - this album is pure unadulerated rubbish from start to finish. It's a collection of the same old tuneless synthesized hip-hop bleeps and farts replete with cliched chip on shoulder lyrics and carefully packaged aggression. And of course, what pile of melody deficient crap would be complete without a drop in visit from - you guessed it - Timbaland.

Get over it guys and gals - we know you're cool. You don't need to tell us anymore. We know that you're cooler than any of us will ever be, in fact the rest of us should just all kill ourselves now we're so unworthy to be living on the same planet as you.
