Royksopp is a wonderful find, and in particular Melody A.M. The group have, and with great success, produced a collection of tracks with great continuity and, I must add, respect for their listener's ears. It is truly a delight to put on this record. Although the tracks can be soothing, and ideal for chill out, I thought a few allowed you to do anything but chill out. Poor Leno in particular is sexy, and creeps up on you when you're least expecting it.
Brilliant.

Disturbed's second album following 'The Sickness' was always going to have to be amazing to beat it. 'Believe' isn't as good as their debut, but still ticks all of the correct boxes. Every song is unique because of David Dremain's amazing vocals, and almost every track has great riffs that you can't help but be impressed by. Tracks:
'Prayer': Wow. An amazing track that really shows how unique and just how damn good Disturbed are. A brilliant riff throughout the whole track, and great lyrics aswell. This song will stay in your head for ages and you will be playing it over and over again. One of my favourite songs ever. Best track on the album. 5/5
'Liberate': Another great song with a very nice riff. From the very start it ... Read More:

I love all kinds of music, from the mainstream to the obscure, from rock thru funk to country. But honestly - this album is pure unadulerated rubbish from start to finish. It's a collection of the same old tuneless synthesized hip-hop bleeps and farts replete with cliched chip on shoulder lyrics and carefully packaged aggression. And of course, what pile of melody deficient crap would be complete without a drop in visit from - you guessed it - Timbaland.
Get over it guys and gals - we know you're cool. You don't need to tell us anymore. We know that you're cooler than any of us will ever be, in fact the rest of us should just all kill ourselves now we're so unworthy to be living on the same planet as you. On behalf of the rest of us, may ... Read More:

Black Sunday made Cypress Hill's connection to rock & roll more explicit, with its heavy metal-like artwork and noisier, more dissonant samples (including, naturally, stoner icons Black Sabbath). It's a slightly darker affair than its groundbreaking predecessor, with the threats of violence more urgent and the pot obsession played to the hilt (after all, it was a crucial part of their widespread appeal). Apart from those subtle distinctions, the sound of Black Sunday is pretty much the same as Cypress Hill, refining the group's innovations into an accessible bid for crossover success. In fact, it's a little startling how often Black Sunday recycles musical ideas and even lyrical catch phrases from the endlessly inventive debut. And the rock-derived, verse ... Read More:

I can't believe it's taken me 12 years before writing this review. What I am glad of though is that I didn't write this within a year of buying "Evil Empire"; when this came out in 1996, I - like many - was expecting a bombastic array of accessible riffage, heavy ranting and slick production similar to RATM's debut. What we got however was a grimy, dark and sinister effort that better showed off RATM's hiphop and punk influences. This was a shock. And it probably explains why it took me a while to get into. Now however, I listen to this album with a huge amount of satisfaction. Everything about it is great: Zack de la Rocha's voice is so aggressive, so vitriolic and just so downright convincing; the guitars and bass (oh, the BASS!) tap very different frequencies ... I've heard a lot about 'production' and how lyrics being negative doesn't matter but this LP proves how good the original ideas behind hip-hop still are and also that you don't need to rhyme negatively to be relevant. This is all about fitting each beat with each word, still not having to be too serious about yourself and just loving the sounds which we can create and doing it all for the enjoyment, the idea behind hip-hop for me.

The singers on this album are amazing, not least because all the music is made by voice alone. The vocals are excellent and it's nice to listen to an album where the singers aren't advocating gun toting revenge on those who can't sing as well as or who have inadvertantly insulted their, Shorty.
This is easy listening at its best, my favourite track has to be Feel it, what a rendition. You can catch the video for that track on Youtube. This album has great lyrics great harmonies and melodies, simply put, Perfect. Bring it on boys!

`Kingdom of Comfort' has been hailed as a return to form with renewed purpose for delirious? Sadly, despite having its moments, for most of this album delirious? seem to be a band whose day has gone, trying desperately to regain some momentum. Any hope of connecting again with the cultural mainstream in which `King of Fools' and `Mezzamorphis' once so proudly swam seems to have been abandoned with an album aimed squarely at the Christian sub-culture. Many of the songs plod where delirious? once soared and the lyrics confuse where once they inspired. Why is God smiling when our hearts are broken? Does the Spirit really teach us to distance ourselves from the world when we live our dreams and sing a new song?
`Give it what you've got' comes on like a glammed up version of Maroon 5. ... Read More:
