I approached this album with an open mind, as I've been a follower of all things Deep Dish since I was introduced to them in the Renaissance arena at Ministry of Sound at Knebworth. They were immense that night, and my purchase of Yoshiesque 1 & 2 that followed was nothing less than a life-shaping experience, influencing the direction my musical tastes take even now. I've also been pleased with the Global Underground mixes. I bought Junk Science, their first full album, and I have to say that I was disappointed. Apart from 'Mohammed Is Jesus' and 'The Future of the Future', both of which I had already heard, loved and played ad infinitum, the album was for want of a better word wishy-washy.

"Hits! The Videos" is the definitive Erasure DVD, giving you music videos and MUCH more. Fans of this synth duo will find lots to enjoy on both these discs. On the first DVD, we get the duo's ENTIRE (and I mean "entire") video history, from their debut "Who Needs Love Like That" right up to 2003's "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)." In all, 35 videos are featured on this disc in 2-channel surround stereo. While they're not big budget extravaganzas, the videos of Erasure are pure exercises in maximum level camp. The one video that had me howling is their cover of ABBA's "Take a Chance on Me" with the duo prancing around in front of the camera in drag. That clip is so flaming, it will melt your screen. Other favorites include "Blue Savannah," "Fingers ... Read More:

This is the latest release in the amazing career, of for me, the finest Jazz-funk band ever assembled. Once again you will be blown away by the superb production of all YES all 14 tracks on this album. Highlights are the opening "stay mine" with the now familiar Incognito style that is instantly recognisable yet totally individual. "Worlds Collide" & Castles In The Air" are masterpieces of soul, jazz fusing with orchestration and stunning vocal arrangements leaving you wanting more.............. "Rivers Runnin' Black" is the mainly instrumental track that is the benchmark of all Incognito albums and is currently getting airplay courtesy of "Jazz FM". For me however, the ultimate track is the closing title "Down to Earth" this starts with a gentle intro and ... Read More:

Couple of good tracks on this disc with "Jailbird" and "Rocks" but the rest is rather boring. This maybe a generational thing, but as someone going past 50, most of their music sounds recycled. Recycling waste is good, but recycling (often second-rate) music is both boring and a waste of time and money.

I have to admit, I'm Sash's biggest fan and I love him so I might sound a little over the top, but Sash is one of the worlds underated artists and unlike alot of DJs or anyone else who does dance music, He actually plays the music on keyboard and doesn't use samples all the time. (He even performs his music live). His music is original and although some find it cheesy, it does have a great sound to it that I could listen to over and over again. The remix combination on disk 2 isn't as good as the first but if you're having a party, It's great to put on and pump up the volume. It depends on what you're into, but personally, dance music isn't what it used to be. Today, its all Trance and they all sound pretty much the same but Sash has a certain quality where it doesn't ... This album is awesome, and it's the sole album that attracted me to dance music. The only problem is, that i have damaged one of my disks, so i came here to look up a song so i could see if i had it on a different disk.. it turns out that, "Set you free, N-trance" isn't what it says it is, it is actually "Set you free, N-trance feat Kelly Llorenna...". It took me a while to find it.. Would you consider updating the name for anyone else in my position?

This double CD from Chris and Neil is one of the finest collections around, OK, it's all B sides, but these were the gems in the PSB crown. Tracks like "A Man Can Get Arrested", "Jack The Lad" and "You Know Where You Went Wrong" are just excellent and really should have been A side material. This is when the Pet were creative, and worried less about chart ready material, Chris' programming, keyboards and total design was much more expressive and Neil's vocals and lyrics were more daring.
All the B sides are here from Please right through to Very, which spans around 10 years of the Pet Shop Boys career, also we get a new mix of Paninaro, which didn't make a single but should really have done. Another amazing track is "Do I Have To", which in my opinion ... Read More:

Once again, Judge Jules proves his quality with an outstanding mix! Compared to the 2007 edition, this is a lot more edgy, much more original and has more of a Judgement Sunday feel. A mixture of electro beats, trance and house, it is the ultimate album for this year and more to come!

Oh dear, oh dear. It really does seem like the Ministry of Sound label have lost their way. There was a time when they released quality dance compilations such as the 'Sessions' series. But now, it just seems that they are content on cashing in on any scene or re-vive fad, and their latest release 'Back to the Old Skool' is a prime example of this.
'Old Skool' music may have different interpretations, but I suspect for the majority this genre recalls those songs that defined white gloves, light sticks and dance music of the early 90's. The album has the usual anthems of this time, like 'Set you free' by N-Trance, and Liquid's 'Sweet Harmony', along with the odd forgotten gem such as Cola Boy's '7 ways to love'.
However, the majority of the content is ... Read More:
