At last all Erasure on one cd, 3 tracks to miss are HEAVENLY ACTION,WHO NEEDS LOVE LIKE THAT(BOTH REMIXES), all other tracks on the album are very good. A LITTLE RESPECT stands out as my best song on the album, AM I RIGHT a very close 2nd. The boys now show us all what fantastic song writers they are with this album. hopefully they will release a new album with all there greatest hits from their first hit WHO NEEDS LOVE LIKE THAT to there latest SUNDAY GIRL.......we wait and see

One of the very few CDs in my collection I can listen to all the way through without skipping a track. Until you own this your CD collection is not complete, it is perhaps one of the greatest albums of all time, without a doubt one of the best dance albums ever, only Orbital and The Prodigy even come close and they released some stonkingly good albums

'Melt' and 'Storm 3000' are the personal favourites here but there are no tracks I dislike

This is my favourite album of 2008. I bought it on a whim having purchased previous albums by Above & Beyond - but nothing could prepare me for the sheer beauty. Justine Suissa's vocals are amazing - the music and the beats drift through me and emulate my hidden desires. My favourite track is 'On a Good Day' - the vocals are perfect. Very happy and looking forward to future releases.

If you listened to Annie Nightingale on a Sunday night you would have heard Dr Mabuse regularly. So I bought the 12 inch. When the Album was released I bought it. ZTT were one of the music labels that were just 80's cool. And if you watched Channel 4 American Football Jewell covered the plays of the week.

20 odd years later this is an album I still play. Some feels a bit dated........(wait, the good bit is coming soon) especially D Mabuse, and the weakest tracks are Murder of Love and Sorry For Laughing, but it's not too embarrasing to play to your teenage daughters.

So if you are 50, or 40, or 30, or teens give this one a whirl

There are some real jewels in it.

Boundry busting Gilles girates his Technic for smiley faces...

CD1 foreward thinking house mix, starting out all soulful and vocal, then moving into his more trademark afro sound (with 4/4 this time though), then into jazzy house and deep techno. He gives the middle finger to his dissers that say he can't mix. Ok he's no Louie Vega or Sasha but he does a solid mix here.

CD2 his usual kinda black music gear. Very uplifting though 'think Jackie Brown' soul, jazz, b-boy.

CD3 unmixed exclusive gems, a good variety of house grooves for all you budding jocks out there. Very different and very fresh.

Highly recommended.

Hercules and Love Affair

Whatever impressions you may have gotten from lead single 'Blind', its best to approach this album with an open mind (as with most things). Whilst Hercules & Love Affair do take their lead from disco music, the scope of the songs is much broader, embracing minimalistic techno and torch-balladry to creating a heady and eclectic tracklist. They might not always produce up-tempo, dance-floor friendly hits, but to criticise Hercules & Love Affair for such a thing would be unfair, not to mention small-minded.

If there is a fault with the album, it is in the sequencing. The penultimate tracks, 'This is My Love' and 'Raise Me Up' sound uninspired and formulaic in comparison to all that comes before, contributing to a distinct second half-lull. This a minor complaint considering ... Read More:
