Blink 182 were one of the first bands i got into because of my brothers. It was these sort of bands like, Blink, The Offspring, Green Day and Sum 41 that got me into the "rock" side of music when i was about 7 or 8ish. I'm now more into Punk Punk, instead of pop punk. But i cant slate this because it was my gateway band and i do still listen to these occasionaly.
OK so its pop-punk, but who cares? It sounds good, their pretty darn good musicians aswell!

This is the original item, not some naff copy or re-recording. AT LAST!
You can see them holding their mics in their fingertips on Top of the Pops, can't you? It's memories people! And as such some copy just won't cut it, so what a relief that finally this is the real stuff thats been released.
Some of the tracks are new to me, not being the worlds biggest Dollar fan at the time so this CD is excellent, not only does it let me relive those great memories and great music but it bring me more of it! How often does that happen? There is even some previously unreleased mixes so even if you are a fan, there is still new stuff.
So this is definitely recommended even if just to add those precious memories to your ... Read More:

This is honestly the one of the best albums I have ever purchased, and believe me I have many. Although I am a fan of genres such as Alt rock/soft rock, very few songs have actually been meaningful to me, in the sense that they have not touched my soul or left a huge impression on me. But every one of the songs in this album has meaning, and so many emotions conveyed through well thought-out lyrics. A raw, confessional album, One-X finds frontman Adam Gontier delving into a sense of utter loneliness that ironically comes from being constantly surrounded by other people. From listening to this album we can see that One-X is simultaneously the story of Gontier's personal destruction on the road, and a universal tale of feeling like an outsider.

I only discovered this band about a year ago and this album is without doubt my favourite of the moment (and I've been playing it for a year now!). Every song is excellent. Rock music you can sing along to!

After one unsuccessful album, Cyndi recorded three albums in the eighties (She's so unusual, True colors, A night to remember) that gave her plenty of success and it is from these three albums that this compilation is mainly assembled. Some of her later albums, though less successful, are well worth hearing but it is the eighties that most people associate with Cyndi.
So, this compilation includes all of Cyndi's important hits of the eighties including Girls just want to have fun, Time after time (later covered by Eva Cassady among others), She bop, All through the night, True colors, Change of heart (with the Bangles on backing vocals), What's going on (a cover of a Marvin Gaye classic) and I drove all night (which also became a top ten UK hit for Roy Orbison). This is a truly comprehensive CD, containing all the band's hits, from the
electronic-sounding "She's So High" to brand-new indie-ish song "Music Is My Radar", this album contains some classic stuff. "Girls And Boys" and "Parklife" are both sparkling gems of Brit-pop, as is "Country House".
"Charmless Man" is an insanely catchy tune and the four tunes taken from
their eponymous 1997 effort are all present and correct. There is also some obscure stuff, like the ballad-like "To The End", the country-ish "Tender", and the lounge ballad "The Universal". The only negative note I can make about this album is that the new song isn't really that good and there is the unexplainable abscence of two classics from Modern Life Is Rubbish, "Sunday Sunday" and "Chemical World". ... Pop music isn't really a literary medium - only Morrissey at the moment really compares as a lyricist - but straight from their first album, the word-of-mouth success "Tigermilk", Belle and Sebastian's songs were more poetic vignettes than the your run of the mill pop that clogs up the charts and radio like so much musical cholesterol.
In Belle and Sebastian's second album, things are more refined - the musical pallete is more sparse, with none of the electronics that appeared on "Tigermilk" or the subsequent EPs. It's straightforward guitars (accoustic, of course, but also a smattering of jangling electric guitar, as in "Stars of Track and Field"), piano, and some understated orchestration (none of the rich arrangements that would colour their third album, "The Boy With The ...
