i bought this album after i heard 'i predict a riot'. every song is great, and the lyrics. GREAT sound 4 a debue even. i thought this would be crap , but it's in my top 10 albums of all time now. the album opens with 'everyday i love u less and less' which is one of my favorite tracks of the album. i always listen to my albums either when i'm doing work or in the car and this album worked. If you like the kaiser chiefs or this album u will also like: Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, the gossip and maybe oasis. check out these bands , their worth checking out. the gossip sounds more like 'take my temp' and 'i predict a riot'. But overall if ur a fan of the kaiser chiefs check out these band (deffo). any way GOOD ALBUM GET IT.

So many US bands deliver not-too-bad yet easily forgettable emo-albums these days. So I didn't expect all that much from Paramore after buying this on the strength of their excellent 'Misery business'. How wrong I was.

Opener 'For a Pessimist' sets the tone for the entire album: a blistering rocker with a catchy chorus. And the pace never lets off from there. Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get are two more standouts, but the band sounds very accomplished in mid-tempo songs like When it Rains and We Are Broken as well. Singer Hayley Williams is first class - the way she holds her longer notes could teach many of her collegues a thing or two (are you payin' attention, Mariah Carey??).

Oh no i'm in a state of high dudgeon, despair and dysphoria as this grandiose drivel cuts through my ear drums. Its quite possible that this is the most disturbing example of music as commerce i have ever heard. Chad Kroeger is an avaricious money mad pirate who specialises in tawdry, inept riffs and stultifying hooks that serve no purpose other than to extort money out of jocks and other asinine consumers. If you want truly profound, intuitive songwritng then avoid the music of this banal incubus while you still have the ability to feel!

Power, Corruption and Lies is a wonderful New Order album, it is an album I love and is dearly treasured and important to me, and it is a crucial release in the development of the band as they slowly slip from the shadow and reputation of Joy Division and Ian Curtis.

That said PCL's shape, form and sound - as it was designed by the band in 1983 - had a beauty, intergrity and structure. This 'new edition' of NO is flaccid and unnecessary, taking away from the masterpiece that was tightly conceptually executed all those years ago.

Are people not fed up of record company's constantly issuing new versions of great albums? Why should the money men know better than the original musicians? Is not less more really?

If you are a massive fan of their old sound, of the Nu metal, then you should definitely avoid this album. If you are a music fan with an open mind then you should definitely purchase this. The sound that they have created is incredibly different. I really don't know why they changed that much. Once I like a band's sound I really don't like it when they try and reinvent themselves to change that, and that's exactly what Linkin Park have done here. I bought Meteora as my first Linkin Park album back in 2003 and I instantly loved it. The sound of the music was so unique, and to a 13 year old, pretty surprising as well. Well they're not wrong!! The whole album from these guys is a sham!!

Usless college puhnk made for whiney teenagers with big hair, too much make up and small pumps. And that's just the male fans!!

Sounds exactly the same as their previous album (boring) and is not an evolution of the band at all. Partly I assume because the actor needs to pursue his art (ahem!) but also because they rely on cover versions such as Bjork's "Hunter"

Useless turgid earache.

Heathen Chemistry

Heathen Chemistry is probably Oasis' worst album. But that doesn't mean it's bad.

Many tracks are very average by Oasis standard, such as All In The Mind, Force of Nature, Better Man and Hung In A Bad Place. However, saying that, personally it contains some of Oasis best tracks.

The Hindu Times is a fantastic rocker that would perfectly fit on to Definitely Maybe. Great guitar rifts and a great chorus, it is real ballsy stuff. Other highlights include Liam Gallagher's Songbird, which surprised many by being an incredibly sweet soft nice little tune - something many would not associate with rock's and hardest frontman.
