This review is a labour of love...I am devoted to this cd,the music is caring, warm and beautiful, now a little history regarding this cd...The story of their new album "Eternitas" goes back to December 2002,Though at the time they called themselves Danse Macabre, these were the early days for SATYRIAN. Recordings started with drummer Merijn Mol (Danse Macabre, The Dreamside), bassist Milos Marisevic (Danse Macabre) and composer / guitarist Jan "Örkki" Yrlund (Danse Macabre, ex- Lacrimosa, Prestige, Imperia, Angel, Delain). Piano and some clean vocals were supplied by producer Oliver Philipps (also in Everon). The band invited Kemi Vita (The Dreamside) as guest vocalist. Judith "Ciara" Stüber also took part in recording; she'd already joined ... Read More:

I purchased this album along with the Earthling double disc and Hours double disc re-issues last week. This is a great album bonus disc is even better however as the title of my review suggests the packaging could be better. I have taken these discs out of the packaging twice and they are already scratched. I personally think these albums should have been re-issued in a standard 2 CD jewel case or a Digi Pack. So take note Columbia Records.

There'd been a certain amount of quiet expectation about this album as a spiritual successor to 'Psalm 69'. In the same way that album was led by anger at George Bush senior's war in Iraq, so this album was led by his son's crusade. The sad fact of it is that the lead track of this album ("No W" - No Dubya, a follow up to Psalm 69's "NWO" - New World Order) is probably the weakest track of the album. It samples heavily from 'Carmina Burana' (used much more successfully by Apoptygma Bezerk on 'Love never Dies'), and the listener gets the feeling that Al put so much effort into creating a worthy successor to his undeniably classic NWO that he tried too hard and it didn't pay off. That's a shame, because the rest of the album *is* a worthy successor ... Read More:

Well, I got "Antikörper" through the mail today, and was really excited. Having heard and loved "Eisbrecher", Eisbrecher's first album, and reading that the second album marked a noted change in style, I snapped this one up as quickly as I could. In the two years since vocalist Alex (formerly of Megaherz fame, along with Noel Pix, also from Megaherz) and the boys released their first album, they've clearly not been idle. A very strong change in style. Whereas "Eisbrecher" was synths and fairly tame metal, Antikörper is practically ballistic. The guitars are crunching, the drums are pounding and the synths aren't used as much, although when they are, the results can be spectacular. With that in mind, let's stick the CD on play, and see what we get...

This is the album that got me into filter, i had heard "welcome to the fold" on mtv and it was so good i had to hear the album. When i eventually managed to get hold of a copy i didn't stop listening to it for weeks. I love every track but the best ones are "welcome to the fold", captain bligh", "the best things", and " skinny". They even venture onto acoustic guitar for "take a picture" which is a great track. I recommend this album if you are into chevelle, breakin benjamin, aperfectcircle or any band that has that sort of a sound. their other two albums are great but this is their best, enjoy.

This album encapsulates such a wide number of musical genres and concepts while focussing on one theme (sin) in particular. The effect is that while your creative side is transported to all sorts of soundscapes, your analytical mind is constantly mulling over the main theme.
This CD can be put on simply as background music, for which it would be fine, but its true strengths are only revealed through proper listening, preferably through a good pair of headphones.
For me the highlight would have to be "Gerald and Me", the eclectic hidden track at the end. However, the whole of this album stands up to repeated listening. Well done Mr Almond!

Let me start off by saying that I do enjoy the tracks on this single (particularly the birthday massacre mix) and that they are all quality mixes based off one of the best songs off of If. However, there are two very good reasons why you shouldn't really bother buying this CD.
First of, if you spend an extra fiver, you can go and buy their new album, IF, which has all these tracks as bonus tracks! And you get the rest of the album anyway, which is money well spent.
Secondly, the cover art is just plain lazy, it is almost exactly the same as the art for their singles of On It, Pay for It and (It's Got) Issues, which, in my opinion, is just poor. I mean, cover art is half the package, and when all the songs are already available on a different ... Read More:

In a genre that is often awash with sub standard bands attempting to copy Rob Zombie's style, it is fitting that this, his final album is a live recording and what an excellent album it is.
I have witnessed the live experience of Zombie myself during his White Zombie days and as this album showcases, he is an amazing performer and his live material transfers amazingly to the stage. Backed up by the guitar talents of John 5 ex - marilyn manson, the sound is crisp and the music is tight.
Zombie's old material sounds as fresh as when it was recorded and this is sliced with his best stuff from educated horses. My only grumble is that the live set did not include the excellent 'Iron head' from Sinister Urge.

Great second album by Orgy, who i recently discovered on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack (well, Jay Gordon).
Vapor Transmission is more polished, different from Candyass, which i found a tad samey. But it still maintains the techno synth that Orgy are known for. And the very sexy and quite strange voice of lead singer Jay Gordon. Great mix that works, brilliant album. Best tracks are, Suckerface, TO, Eva, CS, ERL.
