Its amazing to think that 'The Fragile' divides fans of nin, with some saying its his best and most challenging work and with others unable to appreciate the complex nature of 'The Fragile'.

'The Fragile' was released in 1999 five years after the much loved and highly successful 'The Downward Spiral' into a music world that was dominated at the time by nu metal and boybands. Its release should have really saved us from the world of 35 year old men pretending they were 18, and 18 year olds making a bunch of grey haired men in an office rich. Despite a strong start it faded away quickly, missed by many fans as a result.

I agree with all the other reviews.

On the strength of the Nimes concert alone, this is fantastic value for money, but there is also a bonus DVD (which I haven't looked at yet) and an audio CD.

The Nimes concert is simply stunning, both audibly and visually. The Dearest Boss and I also thought that some of the on-stage antics and theatrics were quite funny. The Dearest Boss said I should get a pair (or is it a set?) of lederhosen like yer man with the guitar.

I thought the live stuff on LICHTSPIELHAUS (or whatever it is called) was good, but this is streets ahead. The sound quality is better too, being in DTS. It is fantastic for cranking up the volume. Another good DVD for annoying the neighbours.

Possibly the best packaged album I own, this is another fine album by Germany's finest. Still the recognisable Rammstein style with many variations in tempo and power in here and remarkably easy to get into. Perhaps not as powerful and consistent as Mutter, I still give this 5 stars as under the Amazon star system it deserves them because I LOVE this album.

Pretty Hate Machine

thankfully 'A Customer' and 'Toybum' don't represent the great majority of NIN fans who think Pretty Hate Machine, 'Excellence of its time'. It's not Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle, it's not so many things other than being a fantastic slab of tech-industrial metal by a young guy called Trent Reznor.

All that 'A Customer' hates is what makes THIS customer love the album. I don't regard there being a duff track. There has been plenty of music since by NIN that has made me raise my eyebrows, thinking 'Hmmm, not sure about that'.

REMEMBER! THIS WAS A 'LONG' TIME AGO. Nearly 20 years ago. This, for the non-'WIRE' magazine reader brought up reading Sounds, NME and Kerrang! was totally different to Whitesnake and Gillan and the concept-shift from 'Hair' ... Read More:

I was always wondering what Rob Zombie's music sound liked ever since falling in love with his film 'House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects' then it wasn't until I found out that he was directing the remake of my favourite film Halloween I though OK I have to check this guys stuff. Hellbilly Deluxe was the first that I got mainly because of friends tellingme about 'Dragula and Living Dead Girl' the first time I put the cd into my cd player the introduction was creepy with Sheri moon Zombie talking about the Devil and her creepy laugh then Zombie hitting us with the first heavy track 'Superbeast' I began to lose my mind in my room...the music, the lyrics and mainly Zombie's voices began to make me start me jumping around and really getting into his stuff.

More often than not 'Soundtrack' means simply all the songs in the movie. More recently it has meant 10 odd tracks by the latest 'hot' artists shoehorned into a movie to make a bit of extra cash (Blade II, Swordfish the list goes on). This, however, bucks the trend so emphatically it seems churlish to put it into the 'Soundtrack' category.

Trent Reznor has crafted a soundscape of par excellence, covering the emotional highs and lows seen in the film. In some respects this is a greater creative work than the film itself as it fuses so many influences, tied in with some of the finer pieces of dialogue from the movie. Rammstein are my favourite band so its hard for me to say a bad word about them. Although Hertzeleid is my favourite album I also really like this album. Its always best if you play any of their songs loud, who cares about the neighbours anyway? I like metal music and Rammstein have put their own individual twist on it which works really well. My advise is to at least listen to some of their songs then you will know what I'm talking about, then buy the albums, they don't have a bad one yet!!!

After listening to NIN now for 4 years, I have every album but may not know them them as well as the 'older' generation who have grown up with NIN music, but I can safely say that I do love Nine Inch Nails as much as the biggest fan.

So, I hear about Year zero remixed, I already have 'Year Zero' and I thought the whole concept was brilliant. The noise, the rhythm, just everything. And from the other remixes 'fixed, further down...etc. I knew this one would be just as good. Then I find out it's different artists, their own interpretations of the songs.

The remixes are good. But I would have loved to have heard Trent's versions, his remixes. There are some really stand out tracks for me,these are:

I am totally obsessed with these guys right now!
Its rock but you can dance to it, with a load of cursing & nasty, vulgar lyrics that give MSI a crude edge.
My favourite track has to be Stupid MF, when I first heard the song I presumed the lyrics were being sung in a different language! Shut Me Up & Straight To Video are great also.
A must for rockers who want something heavy & fun.

i got this cd after reading a review in kerrang (uk rock mag)Elect the Dead but not liking system of a down music i thought what the hell i would give it a good go.

I was shocked to find serj absolutely growing on me so i will give soad another chance to see if i like them, so even if you don't like soad give serj a fair chance as i did and loved it
