Laibach are a very important band (I imagine GWB has never heard of them but Brandon Flowers most certainly has) - this and Kapital are their greatest statements to pop culture - where is Steel Trust on CD? Like Jan Garbarek, you changed a life..

Given that 'best of...' compilations are normally a collection of a group's most popular single releases, and thus a reflection of chart success, Delerium's offering sits a little oddly. Indeed, Delerium are founded upon an intriguing dual identity of mainstream dance remixes and decidedly non-mainstream ethnic/Gothic album productions that presents a difficult balancing act to replicate in this traditional format. Yet somehow they have succeeded in pulling this off, balancing some less well-known classics from their albums with new remixes of popular dance tracks. The result is a good mix of tracks ranging from the now eponymous dance anthem 'Silence' to classic instrumental album tracks such as 'Remembrance', spanning the early Gothic darkness ... And finally, after 26 years, 22 albums, countless aliases as Lard, Revolting Cocks, Pailhead, 1000 Homo Djs, PTP, Ministry bow out with "Cover Up", their very own tribute album to the songs of their past. Built around the current, fluid, ever changing lineup and with an amassed army of guest vocalists, "Cover Up" is either the last gasp of a commercially bankrupt band squeezing life from a corpse with sound alike copy cat l versions - an obscure Industrial Metal Version of a record by the winners of a reality TV show, lacking in any vision or personality - or it's a enjoyable romp through ancient classics by The Rolling Stones, T Rex, Golden Earring, Deep Purple, ZZ Top and so forth, all lovingly Ministry-ized as the band romp around playfully during sessions for ... This is the album that changed rock and industrial forever. When did Front 242, Skinny Puppy etc start using guitars? After hearing this album. My personal highlight is 'Deity', which is the most perfect tune ever! This is where dance music wishes it was now, not to mention what it has trying to do for years. 'Stigmata', 'The Land of Rape and Honey', need I go on? Watch 'In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up', listen to the tracks from this CD played on that video and see if you can deny the impact of this album on the world. Devestating!
Release Date November 01, 1999
i would recommend this album to anyone who has a more diverse taste in music than just metal or rock or whatever. this album is not for the closed minded, which metal fans invariably are.
not for little boys who have the opinion:, "highly suprised that Rammstein (A cool industrial metal band) actually helped remix the awsome songs into such rubbish!"

This is the song that introduced me to Nine Inch Nails, a band i am eternally glad i discovered. With that pulsating distorted bassline and Trent's creepy lyrics comenting on the modern obsession with reality TV and such like, this is a pure anthem and one that is hard to resist. This theme is echoed in the video that is included on this CD too with a focus on various TV screens as soldiers storm a building. It is sharp, modern, striking and fits the feel of the track perfectly.
In many ways, this is Nine Inch Nails at the most catchy, an element of them i like as like the rest of Year Zero, it presents a band that is far more accessible and thus some of their best work since the late 80s masterpiece that is Pretty ... Read More:

I got into NIN late with the first album of theirs I bought being their live album which I thought was original and simply like nothing else around. With Teeth I thought was great and then purchased their entire catalogue. Enjoyed The Downward Spiral, The Fragile and Year Zero. I personally feel that this is their weakest offering with nothing quite as new and adventurous as their other albums. Good but not their best.
Release Date March 04, 2002
Thirteen years after the debut 'Pretty Hate Machine' slipped quietly onto US shelves (with estimated sales of 20,000), Nine Inch Nails release their eighth album, a no doubt multi-million shifting lavish double set in a fabric box.
All other considerations aside (the steep price tag, the increasing exploitation of a small set of original material; with a remix album for every studio set on his own label, and now a live package as well), 'And All That Could Have Been / Still' is one of the best live recordings ever officially released. The first disc, taken from the final eight US dates of the bands tour, combines excellent musicianship with a crisp, strong mix that supercedes any other NIN release.
'And All That Could Have Been' does have its ... Read More:

I have been a fan of industrial for years...and im an old git but when it comes to thundering choons of a dancey industrial nature i still lumber my fat arse onto the floor....this IS floor music...this IS INDUSTRIAL This is brilliant...it is distorted machines, screwed up cyclical beats, riot inducing vocals and basically will rip you a proverbial new one if you even so much as dare to cross it. This is KMFDM with bite....the bite they have seemed to lack ever since inception....this IS AWESOME...this is music to inspire rebellion, killing, cat eating...whatever the hell takes your fancy... Simultaneously heavy, dancey and groove orientated it is a bastard son of everything good about industrial with added cone exploding bass. If you do one thing before you ... Read More:
