The reviews on this DVD seem to be from the Live Aid DVD available elsewhere. This DVD is "Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid", the Live Aid bit lasts around 15 minutes and is Queen's set in the afternoon and Brian and Freddie playing "Is this the world we created?", there are also the odd interview and some rehearsal footage here, these bits however should be seen as "extras", the main event is the 2 concerts filmed in Montreal in 1981.
Any one who is a Queen fan, probably has the "We Will Rock You" video or DVD, well this is the exact same film, but the quality in High Definition is astounding. The band apparently did not enjoy making this, they also did not own it, apparently they now do, and this HD DVD is a Queen Production. ... Read More:
I was a Queen fan back in the 1970's up until around 1975/6. I drifted away from listening to them as they drifted away from rock towards the pop genre.
On the basis of this album Queen are once again rock giants, Paul Rogers breathes much needed new life into the repertoire and it's great to see Brian May with a smile on his face again. Ignore the detractors and spoilers, this is the best line up Queen have had.

It's all the good stuff...1. the DVD & CD combo makes this a great buy for home viewing and car listening. 2. the picture quality is quite simply superb - much better than the Soundstage DVD. 3. Lindsey performs the first few tracks virtually alone and even when the band join in there is a really intimate feel which makes you feel part of the audience. 4. Holiday Road is on it - complete with barking! 5...oh just buy it!
One caveat for UK buyers...be aware at the moment it's either Aussie or US import available so if you have a Region 2 only DVD player you better have a good laptop or be patient till UK version arrives!

This is an outstanding example of the power of RATM in a live setting. The playing is tight and the audience are obviously loving every minute. You get a good cross section of songs from their albums and all played with vigour and passion. 'Killing in the name' is especially good live. Highly recommended, you shouldn't be disappointed.

There are so many great tracks on this album that this could easily be a best of! The unplugged format is perfect for Neil Young and really shows his songs off in their best light and his voice goes just perfectly with acoustic guitar. This is where I began my love of Neil Young and I really believe it is a great starting point in his music and style before delving deeper into his other albums. A great album.

There is nothing to be said. Why re-issue stuff that we really do not need? Some believed in free love and respect, others just took the drugs. Here, they just take your money.

I am so disappointed by this dvd. I've seen Meat Loaf perform live over a dozen times & his voice just seems to go downhill every time.
I guess he's getting on a bit now, but I now wish he would retire gracefully, as this performance is painful to watch.
He struggles through virtually every song & his timing is way off. His fantastic backing band & backing vocalists try to mask his shortcomings, but it seems to just magnify his own woeful vocals!
The first time we played this DVD at home, we actually couldn't stand to listen to any more after the first half hour. Meat's contant straining & re-interpretation of the vocal harmonies & melodies are nowhere near as good as the original versions (let alone in tune) & his physical ... Read More:

A great many of the Unplugged series albums have been hit and miss and it is a relief to hear this one from Bryan Adams ending up firmly in the hit section. He manages to rework his songs just enough to fit the acoustic format and yet they retain their original feel throughout. Tracks such as 'Summer of 69' and 'Run to You' are staggeringly good played acoustic and the upbeat 'Back to You' and 'I Think About You' never fail to get my toes tapping every time I hear them. 'When You Love Someone' has a beautiful Celtic feel to it that elevates it above the ordinary on this album as well. As far as Bryan Adams and Unplugged albums goes this one rates pretty highly and is well worth a try.
