I am so disappointed by this dvd. I've seen Meat Loaf perform live over a dozen times & his voice just seems to go downhill every time.
I guess he's getting on a bit now, but I now wish he would retire gracefully, as this performance is painful to watch.
He struggles through virtually every song & his timing is way off. His fantastic backing band & backing vocalists try to mask his shortcomings, but it seems to just magnify his own woeful vocals!
The first time we played this DVD at home, we actually couldn't stand to listen to any more after the first half hour. Meat's contant straining & re-interpretation of the vocal harmonies & melodies are nowhere near as good as the original versions ... Read More:

There is nothing to be said. Why re-issue stuff that we really do not need? Some believed in free love and respect, others just took the drugs. Here, they just take your money.

What a treat this CD is - despite not including many of his best songs, it is worth the money alone to listen to the rousing rendition of the all-time classic 'Joxer Goes to Stuttgart'. Just like the occassion it was written about, the song will be played over and over again...
I was a Queen fan back in the 1970's up until around 1975/6. I drifted away from listening to them as they drifted away from rock towards the pop genre.
On the basis of this album Queen are once again rock giants, Paul Rogers breathes much needed new life into the repertoire and it's great to see Brian May with a smile on his face again. Ignore the detractors and spoilers, this is the best line up Queen have had.

There are so many great tracks on this album that this could easily be a best of! The unplugged format is perfect for Neil Young and really shows his songs off in their best light and his voice goes just perfectly with acoustic guitar. This is where I began my love of Neil Young and I really believe it is a great starting point in his music and style before delving deeper into his other albums. A great album.

You are probably wondering whether to jump on this band wagon, after all the "surf scene is all the rage at the moment" well the truth is even in light of Jack Johnson's "sell out" in 2005 there is always this one chap that will be churning out the fantastic tunes with very little mainstream attention!
Ben Harper has been making some of the most chilled, often emotional and sometimes chirpy music for the past 10 years or so. He is the leader of the pack. This is probably the CD that you should get to get an overall picture of his talents.
One warning though... be prepared for the truly emotional and heartwrenching parts of songs to be overidden by an over-excited idiot ridden american audience to "whooop" and shout "i love you... i love this song... ilove you" ... Read More:

What to say about this album? Every song is a corker and the performance and production are superb. I bought this for the singles but found myself loving every single song. A masterpiece.

Wow! This guy is almost as good as Hendrix - and he's almost as good as Stevie Ray - and he does covers of some pretty good songs just as well as quite a few great players I've heard over the last 40 years - but....he doesn't bring anything new to the table. So what's the point?

Fortunate enough, though we didn't realise it at the time, to see The Who at Bournemouth's Pavilion Ballroom in the mid to late '60's, the venue was packed out shoulder-to-shoulder, of course. Privileged as we were to see Keith Moon, (was he the only drummer who didn't use a Hi-Hat?), he was up to his usual antics at one of the shows by pouring vodka over the tom-tom drum skins, and thus creating great fountains as soon as he hit them when the next song began; much to his extreme amusement.
We enjoyed 2 amazing gigs there, the third showcased the 'Tommy' album, (which, other than the monumental 'Pinball Wizerd' track, didn't do a great deal for me as the balance of the songs were quite weak by Townshend's earlier standards; but hey, they went global with it, so I'm the oddball!), and Bournemouth ...
