Now,I did order this from a different website and had to wait longer,the wait was definitely well worth it.I love how probably every song has an extra surprise,like Gerard telling people to start dancing during Headfirst For Halos.If you close your eyes whilst listening to the CD you can almost feel like you're actually there...even though you don't really need to, you've got the live DVD!
Even though I've wathched it millions of times, the Video Diary never fails to get me laughing.It really gives you a good idea of what life on the road must be like.The good things (sucess,fans) and the bad things too (drug addictions, people smelling bad(I'm not naming any names...)

When you first listen to the album, you are confronted with an awesome introductory track of 'Superman' that is arguably better than their studio version. Throughout the live album you hear there best songs performed live to a fantastic level.

A must for Phonics fans, and for any music lover - especially those who understand and appreciate excellent live performances. It is excellent value for money and comes on two discs - brilliant.

Great that this is being remastered. OK it's always been a bit middle of the road and the first time I heard it, it felt a bit like bying my first Val Doonican record, but the songs are strong and it even hits a few trancendental highs in parts (Dweller, Vanlose, Beautiful Vision and Haunts of Ancient Peace), but where the HELL is the track that's been missing from this concert since its original release - the monster that is Summertime in England. With improved CD technology, it could easily have been added, and all the other reissues seem to make room for at least one extra track.

One star docked for the occasional lack of energy on this recording, and one for cruelly robbing me of hearing the missing track I've been looking forward to for years.

I can only chime in with the previous reviews, this is a fantastic record well worth buying both volumes for the charm of some of the more obscure songs. I would add that the version of Sweet Jane was supposedly performed on the day it was written, which may well explain its naivety and beauty.

Went to see 'We Will Rock You', got 'Live Killers' the next day and didn't listen to much else for about a year or two. The energy, humour and their anthems make this one of the finest live albums ever recorded and once you're in there, you're on another planet. The balance of showmanship, pomp and full throttle heavy rock is perfect, and if you have heard Queen's early 70's live recordings then you know their roots. Mercury's vocal performance and showmanship is phenomenal, May's wall of sound fills whatever venue they were playing and Taylor's drumming, particularly his solo on 'Now I'm Here', marks him as the epitome of rock'n roll drumming. Just to make it clear, the difference between this version and the standard version are:

1: This version comes in a deluxe card box rather than the standard jewel case.

2: This version also contains 3 limited edition cards (one of each band member).

THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE EXTRA TRACKS AS SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING

therefore I would say that unless you are an absolute fanatic who has to have all the limited edition stuff then the standard edition is fine. On the Dvd itself the concert is excellent but a bit disappointed that the "backstage footage" is only 10 mins long. good though.

This concert is outstanding, both visually and musically. I like to see a performer perform on stage, and it is fantastic to see someone like Peter Gabriel really entertain, making great use of props, gadgets and special effects.

It is clear to see that all the performers on stage are savouring the experience and it is contagious even to the viewer. All songs are performed beautifully and it is a great piece of musical history to own.

The only reason it does not have the full five stars is the quality of the picture. A shame, but it does not spoil the overall effect.

Certainly a must for any Gabriel fan, and I can only imagine that it would be an enjoyable experience for a non-fan too.

Although I've only given this 3 Stars it is an excellent product but the fact remains that the recording quality of some of it is such that it sounds as if it was recorded off the radio (and the medium wave at that) rather than for it. One for all Sandy Denny afficionados but not those unfamiliar with her work.

I LOVE this album. I've been a fan of Bruce Springsteen for nearly thirty years and he just continues to amaze me! The band here is incredibly tight and the sound is nothing ever less than perfect. Each song just oozes fun and friendly enthusiasm and the arrangements are spot on. Classic Bruce mixed with classic American folk? You cannot fault a moment. Brooooooce!!! Broooooce!!!
