I dont really know why some of the review say this is bad the first cds the best trance collection i think.I mean you got pleaty a strong tune to start with reason onto that cheasy classic be cool.Into alot of strong commercial deep trance in my eyes, forever and few new songs like that amazing tune looky thing.Cd2 a sort with abit hiphop by missy 4 my people which is not really dance but its a good song which fits into it alot of good house tunes.A good clubbers guide but check clubbers guide 2002,2003 which i think are just as good .

Disc 1 of this doube-CD set is more RnB/Hip-Hop inspired, whereas disc 2 is more HARD house.
Now, I like my deep bass, and this album doesn't fail to deliver.
In my opinion, you can save yourself an hour of your life, and throw disc 1 away. Disc 2 deserves a permanent place in your multi-changer in your car.
I would give this album 5 stars, but disc 1 brings the overall score down. :(
There is an added bonus with disc 1 though- The last minute or so of the disc is a selection of bass tones to test your subwoofer. If you've wondered just how deep your home or car bass can go, this will show you...

Plenty of classics here no doubt about that, the Ministry Chill Out is probably opening up the casual dance market to artists and tracks they wouldn't have heard before. This selection mines alot of obvious choices from acid house past (Frankie Knuckles, Beloved, Sueno Latino), the Madchester House scene (Stone Roses, Heller & Farley on The Farm, Primal Scream), and just some plain classic purveyors of chill and electronica (Aphex Twin/Polygon Window, The Orb, Future Sound Of London). So top marks on selection, REALLY good tracks. So why isn't this the best Chill Out CD of all time? Well its this, it just seems to lack soul. Probably created by someone who has plucked out ALL the obvious chill classics with an eye on the money making and not on the ... Read More:

Smokin Beats is a great mix of laid back vibes and chilled out grooves. Disk One highs include The Weekend Starts Here and Suntoucher. But its disk two that gives the real 'Smoking Beats'!! Sunset by Nitin Sawhney is the best tune on the CD, a haunting and laid back track with great vocals with a hindi/arabic tip!!
also a hint for readers, this album is best enjoyed either with a fattie, after a heavy night of E-xitement and happy dancing or for the best effect, chilling with a few mushies!! AMAZING!!!

There is no doubt to the 'classic' status of the tracks on this album. They are all memorable and some are still played in clubs today. It is becoming a bit of a washout though since there are zillions of compilations just like this on the market. If you have one of the classic compilations you have them all! Each of these compilations have the majority of the same tracks on them. Judging on its own merits this compilation is a bit of a mare. The mixing is sporadic in timing and quality. For instance the mixing between Needin U and Dreamer is very good, but other mixes are 'just press stop on one and start on the other at the same time' mixing. Some of the editing is not particularly good either. The cutting of Darude- Sandstorm is a particular howler. ... Read More:

This is a great double pack with CD1 mixed by Alan Thompson with some good clubby tunes, whereas CD2 mixed by Nathan G is a very cool mix of seamless blended house. If you are looking for similar sounding CDs then try these which I recommend. Miguel Migs 24th Street Sounds and Ben Watt Buzzin' Fly Volume 1, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy!!
I really can't understand why people are giving this a hard time.
Dance music is a constantly evolving creature and DJs such as Harry Choo Choo are artists who like to find new sounds, grooves and textures in thier music.
Every time I hear a new mix from Harry (which is never often enough !) there is always a progression in his musical direction. He often goes for more Techno orientated grooves than other "House" DJs.........the main reason why I like his music selection so much.
Yes, there is a more minimal feel to this mix, but always with that essential funky groove to it, and it also has the anthemic "Rise Up" which is as "Big Room" as you can get.
Harry has given us his ... Read More:

And then Adam F piped up and did not stop, I found this so utterly irritating that I could not even finish listening to it. There are some great beats on here and the transitions are really good, but this mans irritating voice with his monotonous inaudible pointless ramblings destroyed what could have been an enjoyable D'n'B experience.
On the first track he says "how much can you take?", trust me, not much.
