`Monty Python Sings' is a fantastic album collecting all the songs that populated the world of Python together in one place. It doesn't give a totally balanced view of the group with Eric Idle being the most musically versatile of the group, leading him into ventures such as The Rutles with Neil Innes of Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band fame. Again the balance is towards the eighties output of the Python's with the majority of songs from the Contractual Obligation album which included a great wealth of song writing and also the Meaning of Life soundtrack which as a movie conceived as a series of sketches relied on a number of set piece song and dance numbers.

I was surprised when I first listened to this tape. I was expecting a traditional Agatha Christie type format in the manner I was used to hearing. The three stories have been very much updated in terms of the setting of the stories and the language and general setting of the plots. This does not in any way detract from the enjoyment, rather it enhances the quality of the tales, indicating that the original format transfers very easily to a more up to date setting. The acting in all the stories is excellent, and the plots take a very interesting and unexpected turn, particularly towards the end, which is of course what one would expect from the author. 3 CDs of absolute classic ska. With the sheer volume of tracks this set provides, its a bargain. This is the real deal.A good cross section of Jamaican ska, with some tracks better known than others (perhaps) but don't let that put you off. If you have only heard the tracks that have also appeared on other ska compilations & you liked them, then the rest of this collection is a must.
This is a really expansive collection of quality ska music & Trojan have done a great job in selecting the tracks for this set.If you enjoy this , then the Rude Boy box set is also worth a punt.

This audio CD book, alongside with other Naxos educational CDs for children, is absolutely fantastic. It contains loads of information, so adults interest is guaranteed as well as children's fascination. It's a must for curious little minds. Presented in an easy listening format, it educates and enterntains at the same time. Boring car journeys became a highly enjoyable and educational experiences in our family since Naxos CDs were purchased. Being non-fiction, they can be listened to over and over again, offering a chance for the child to remember and/or understand more details each time.

If you have not heard the first "Best Worship Ever"cd ,then it is a very good buy with a good variety of old and new songs by a great selection of artists.Unfortunately i have the first cd and i feel that this follow up is not just as good - but is still very good and would recommend it .A great asset to have if you have groups in your house because there is a song to fit most occassions .If you dont have the first cd ,I suggest you get it.
