This is truly a gem. Three CD's of an outstanding folk/rock legend. The "Best Off" is a single album. With this set you get all the hits and a lot more for only a couple of pounds extra. If there are a few tracks that don't immediately make you sing along, there are many others that do.
Release Date November 10, 2008
without doubt, this is one of the best piano / Christmas albums for listening to whilst opening presents and having Christmas lunch. Buy it for Next Christmas - you will not be disappointed
She requests it when we get in the car, well I say request - she keeps going on about having "Bob on"! Every time a track finishes she says "more Bob"!.
The first two tracks are the two which were released as singles a few years ago, and they did quite well with the first one being a Christmas number 1 if I remember correctly.
She has a few kids music CDs, and to be honest, this is the best one. She has a Disney one but the sound seems tinny and quiet, whereas it is crystal clear on the Bob the Builder album. You don't wince when you know this CD is going to go on as it doesn't take itself seriously, and most of the tracks are well performed. I must admit though that I have to skip ... Read More:

i have visited tibetan buddhist monastries and listened to the awesome and magical chanting of the monks. with this cd i was hoping to re-create that atmosphere. instead what i got was an over-produced, sanitised and sythetic version - singing instead of chanting, with a background of music played on chinese instruments. nice in its own way but not for me. very dissapointing!

I first heard this album in 1978. I had heard Eno with Roxy Music and found him fascinating so, after his departure, kept tabs, listening to Here Come the Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), the original 'Obscure' albums and No Pussy-Footing. And then this came out - on vinyl.
Well, I wore that copy out and had to buy a second. That, too, wore out. Then some bright spark invented CD players. I bought one so that I could listen to this album without the clicks and hiss of vinyl. It was this album that prompted me to buy a CD player.
I have now been listening to this album for about 30 years.
As soon as I hear those first few unadulterated, simple piano notes, I relax. I slip into a timeless place framed by a few minutes ... Read More:

I based my decision to buy this on reviews and I'm so glad I went with the majority. Loreena has a stunning voice and the music is superb. Relaxing for me as I'm very much a Heavy Rock fan and Blues listener but do occasionally dabble in folk. It's worth every penny as far as I'm concerned and I'm sure to buy a second album from her soon.

What a wonderful collection - truly a definitive archive of one of the century's greatest artists. Oistrakh's combination of power and serenity, with that individual unmistakeable sound make this a must-have for anyone who enjoys listening to the violin. Even more so if you play - to hear just what the instrument is capable of. In particular, the accounts of the Beethoven and Brahms concertos are the finest I have ever heard. Recordings can be cold - you have to play a bit safe - but these recordings have all the magic of a live performance.
I had a number of these recordings on LP - if anything, the sound is better on these CDs and for the huge number of recordings - what a bargain.

This is the debut album from the pop cultural phenomenon with, amongst other things, its own star on the Hollywood walk of fame, THE SIMPSONS.
This album features 5 original Simpson's songs & 5 covers of classic blues songs, all sung in the inimitable Simpson's style.
1.DO THE BARTMAN - 5:11.
A number one hit co written by Michael Jackson!
2.SCHOOL DAY - 3:57.
A rockin' cover of Chuck Berry's song, featuring Bart Simpson and Buster Poindexter {David Johansen.}
3.BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN - 3:08.
Dan Castellaneta doing Homer Simpson doing Albert King!
4.MOANIN' LISA BLUES - 4:49.
My favourite line in this BLACK VELVET {Alannah Myles} sounding song is "I'm down so low, if I cheered up I'd still be depressed!"
