Bought this originally because it is one of the few compilations that features "My Brother" by Terry Scott. But there are many other enjoyable tracks on the CD. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind the choice of tracks except for general nostalgia. It was gratifying that the kids recognised a piece played by Lang Lang at the Proms as the Daffy duck rhapsody from this CD!

Ambient Heaven - Dawn

The music is tranquil and relaxing and is good quality for the price. It makes good background music for concentrating on a task when you don't want to work or read in silence, but don't want to be distracted by music.

There are several CDs in the Ambient Heaven collection; I also bought "Sounds of the Forest, but I found that was inferior quality and quite tacky in comparison to the `Dawn' CD.

"Anti-stress" and "Sleep" in the `Body & Soul' collection were better quality than these however.

This is by far one of the best and most reasonably priced compilations of America's famous male crooner's. It's a shame, but so much emphasis was placed back then on Frank Sinatra, Nat "King" Cole, Bing Crosby and Tony Bennett, but when you listen to the extraordinary "ease" and "sincere comfort" and "charm" of Dean Martin's voice, your heart melts. He was that good! Besides his excellent vocal rendition/recording of "Ain't That A Kick in The Head", there appears to be few big production Big Band recordings with Dean Martin. I haven't stopped playing this album, it is everything people said, and a great way of getting into worship with God. I find it hard to see how another album can match the quality of Arriving, but I will buy more!!

This box is worth buying for the Barbirolli disks alone (if you don't have them). Then there are the Groves recordings of King Olaf, Caractacus, and minor orchestral works, not to mention Boult's Apostles and Kingdom (never bettered in my view), and many other things. I suppose I am biased. I cut my teeth on many of these recordings, when they were first released on LP. Any disappointments for me? Perhaps. The final disk of Elgar conducting Elgar struck me as a thrown-together assortment of bits and pieces, a missed opportunity, but that's a small quibble given the sheer quality and quantity of fine things in this box.

I first listened to this in a friends bedroom on vinyl - I laughed so hard that I got him to record it onto tape for me....i then proceeded to play chosen segments of this down my CB radio to annoy all!

A great sketch that lasts a whole album....I bought this and had to wait many weeks to get a copy from the USA - i wanted it that much I did not mind the wait...if you have not heard this and you remember the young ones, then this is just for you!

This does not do it for me at all. It is like weird synth music with touch of 70's porn feel and wierd oriental mix that is to fast for relaxation adn has loud bongs and sythn parts which would wake you up if lsitening to whilst having a therapy treatment. I trieed to be objective and did listen to it as whole adn hated it if honest not my thing and I don't feel remotely relaxing more elevator music that is old fashion and not wholesome holistic. I would actually send it back as not worth the money and dissappointed. Some may like it and find it inoffensive but I just don't find it what I wanted and not to my taste at all.
