This does not do it for me at all. It is like weird synth music with touch of 70's porn feel and wierd oriental mix that is to fast for relaxation adn has loud bongs and sythn parts which would wake you up if lsitening to whilst having a therapy treatment. I trieed to be objective and did listen to it as whole adn hated it if honest not my thing and I don't feel remotely relaxing more elevator music that is old fashion and not wholesome holistic. I would actually send it back as not worth the money and dissappointed. Some may like it and find it inoffensive but I just don't find it what I wanted and not to my taste at all. I found myself laughing at the strangly sinsiter action movie like karate tunes on it what is calming about this. ... Read More:

Words fail me. Listen to William Shatner decaliming Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and marvel if you are on a bad acid trip yourself. Shatner is...well...let's say special. Nimoy on the other hand actually sings reasonably well, sometimes using his Spock alter ego. Truly a life changing experience.

This is a great compilation but what really lets it down for me is the sound quality on the sideboard song which sounds very harsh, all the other tracks sound great. The other reason I didnt give 5 stars is because two great tracks have been left off, Thats What I Like and Strummin, Gutted.

A must for anyone who is capable of thought, this collection will stun you on its first hearing (this is normal, it will always happen), the lyrics/poems having a raw power that will make you wonder why you have never been able to write as he can. Scared of no-one, there can be no doubt JCC is fearless in what he does write, but that's not to be thought of as arrogance in any way at all, no, it's observation of the highest order - he has something to say for sure. As for others here commenting on the music accompanying the words, I can only say that the strident/near discordant style actually enhances the tracks for me, in that respect Beasley Street is a tour de force - it's not music plus lyrics, it's music times lyrics. A great collection from ... Read More:

Tex it's not MEANT to hold your attention.
The clue is in the title "Music for Airports".
This is a concept first thought of by Eric Satie with his "wallpaper" music, but only properly realised by the unsung, under-appreciated and absolute genius that is Brian Eno. This is music you can do anything to - go through customs; paint the ceiling; wash the car. Don't think, just enjoy.
If you think you haven't heard anything by Eno think again. A ridiculous proportion of the really great albums issued since the early seventies have had some sort of input from him. But he has taken music out of its little box and delivered it to where you live without you knowing it. The BBC have an extensive library of incidental sounds ... Read More:

I have been picking up pieces of Jenkins' pieces for a while now but i must say that for anyone new to his work or just interested in hearing some really great music then this album hits the spot. A good collection of many highlights. I recommend it as a great general listening piece and thoroughly worth buying just for adiemus alone! Super!
