Was given to me by my boyfriend and never fails to make me feel good. No matter what the weather or what youve been through, when this pours through the speakers it feels like a gorgeous summer's day. Its great for music lovers who want to listen to artists not so well known, for those that want to start a love affair with soul or established fans of soul that want a good compilation. Some tracks sound surprisingly modern and there are no 'filler' tracks. So shut up, sit back and feel dam good!

I bought this accidentally - thinking I was buying a new album by DB II - yeah, there's a clue in the name! Lovely stuff - DB (senior) has as good a voice as any Blues singer I've heard. Unsurprisingly (he's a drummer to) the drums drive each song. Highlight - title track - one of the best songs of the past decade.
p.s. DB II also appears on a couple of tracks - and listen out as well to the SRV song (DB co-wrote many Stevie Ray Vaughan classics). Beautiful groove

I am all for experimentation. Mixing modern styles with the tried and trusted forms of music. I had doubts about Blues and scratch/DJ styles working together but Boo Boo Davis pulls it off with this gem. The secret to it working probably lies with the fact that this is most definitely a Blues CD with the scratch input kept to a minmum. Boo Boo is Blues a la BB King......great guitar and strong vocals. The CD opens strongly with "Tell me what to do".....and rarely dips, closing with the plaintive "Standing in the cottonfields". Ramon Goose's occasional scratching and vocal add-ins blend in surprisingly well.Highly recommended!

I do not proclaim to possess the ability to offer a professional critique of this album. However in the clearest and most simplest of comments: I really enjoy listening to this album. (As does my husband who is a blues purist.) The first album I ever heard was Luck of the Draw which still remains my favourite... Now possessing a number of her albums, Bonnie provides a varied level of pure blues to adult oriented rock throughout her collection. She is a superb slide guitarist. What a pleasure to watch playing with John Lee Hooker on the television concert just after he died. I first heard this album being played in a music store by an assistant who had never heard of her. Let The Good Times Roll: The Music Of Louis Jordan

A strange collection in some ways but superb. Old-fashioned blues, humorous charming, and superbly executed. The Man is showing his age on this, but it hardly matters. Enjoyable in all its aspects - not a bad track on the whole album. Good sound quality too - missing on too many of B. B. King's recordings. No fan can be without this CD and sleep easy at night - the thought of not owning it must surely cause terrible anxiety.

I like it!!!!
