This Album to me is their best i all their other albums some more than others. To have an Album with so many different styles and still manage to satisfy the fans has got to show that Rancid are a very well formed band.
I would say this album is different from the others Abit more Reggae and ska mixed with punk. Its a brilliant collection of songs.
I would Recommend this to Rancid fans wishing to explore more about the band.
Some people just prefer Out Come The wolves and Indestructible. I would say give this a try. C'mon give it a try ;)

if you have any sense, buy this album now (especially if you're a guitar player, this is not one of those "solos don't work for the song" kinda band - the solos are full-on metallica/van halen style). if you dont have any sense, try listening to the clips on the site and maybe downloading a song or two, and then make up your mind for yourself.
the lyrics are intelligent and there is a good mixture of happy and depressing songs. when you listen to the songs you can tell the band are majorly influenced by metal, with most of the songs mixing the best drumming i have ever heard (not just in the punk genre either, he is THE best and i'm a fan of metal bands such as metallica, slipknot and chimaira), awesome riffs and solos, solid bass, and ... A collection of live performances of songs from their albums up to and including Insomniac. Probably worth it if you really can't get enough of Green Day, but if you aren't as keen on them, it's best to give it a miss and purchase one of their studio albums instead. It's definately not their greatest work, but it does round out a Green Day collection quite nicely.
If you really want to get this album, see if you can get the Japanese import version as it has a bonus live version of Dominated Love Slave (Kerplunk) at the end.

Me first and the gimme gimmes are the best punk cover band in the world. This album is particualy good in my opinion - they've managed to get just the right amounts of all different styles of music and put them together as something well worth listening to again and again.
Unlike many other cover bands the gimme gimmes songs don't all sound the same and all the songs are recognisable. The best song on this album is by far 'will you still love me tomorrow' other great ones are 'stand by your man' 'wild world' and 'who put the bomp' but they are all classic songs made much much better.
buy it now and also buy the 'Ruin Jonny's Bar Mitzvah' album - live from a Bar Mitzvah and the 'are a drag' album featuring popular showtunes such ... Read More:

Release Date April 07, 2003
This EP is basically a taster. One designed to give an impression of what is to come this April, in the shape of a brand new 14 track 'NOFX' LP; 'The War On Errorism'. This has been eagerly awaited, especially given the success of 'Pump Up The Valuum'. This is a perfectly respectful EP, perhaps a little on the short side. It features 5 tracks. Only one of which will not feature on the forthcoming full length offering. Leaving it as the only exclusive song you will obtain with this purchase. This has its up and downsides.
Firstly if you are not a particularly huge 'NOFX' fan or you are new to this band. You may wish to start with an older release, perhaps 'White Trash...' or 'Heavy Petting Zoo' these are much more representative of their sound ... Read More:

Forget Punk in Drublic.
Forget Smash.
Forget And Out Come The Wolves.
ESPECIALLY forget Dookie.
Get this one.
This album is amazing. It has the basic Fat Wreck Chords sound (Bad Religion, NOFX and The Descendents all thrown into a blender) but the lyrics are so much more potent and relevant than most bands on Fat Wreck, and they actually make you think. They speak their minds without mercy, and that's another thing I love about them. In one of their songs (it's not on this album though), they bash the hell out of Fat Mike in just three lines, yet they're on the label he owns. Also, they're the only band I can think of (besides the mighty CRASS) that can say 'f**k' every few lines in a song and still manage to sound incredibly ... Read More:

Some excellent covers, with the Gimmes as usual making songs their own, as only they seem to be able to convingly do. Not quite up to the five star Blowin in the wind or Take a break due to one or two slightly ropey tracks, namely uptown girl and leaving on a jetplane, but even they are still better than most bands doing covers, Otherwise superb punky fun
Release Date December 23, 1999
In the 90s sublime consistantly produced excellent albums, this however is the best I've heard. For anyone intrested in sublime this is definatly woth getting. This shows that sublime stand tall as one of the best live acts of an era. Bradly's voice is one of the most emotionally expressive around, fans of radiohead will appreciate this. There is often little to the music of sublime but that's what makes them what they are.
