This is an incredible song, and the type that is instantly recognisable as the Hives. This is the best song on the exceptionally good album, and has excellent lyrics and one of the catchiest riffs I have ever heard; this is The Hives at their very best. If you like this, buy the album.

I like alot of people got in to the bouncing souls through listening to 'How i spent my summer vacation', which is a very good album, but if you dig a little further in to their back catalogue your'll find this diamond. At first it isn't as easy on the ears as 'how i spent...' but the more you listen the more it grows on you until you've realised its actually the best bouncing souls album there is. not only is it the classic bouncing souls album, its a damn good punk album as well. I love every song, they're all sing-along-able i think the highlights are 'freaks, nerds and romantics', 'lamar vanoy' and 'the ballard of johnny x', if you like the bouncing souls go buy it!

This is one of my all time favourite albums EVER. I think it's a combination of on a wire and something to write home about amalgamated into a brilliantly written album. Favourite song has to be sympathy and in your sea. One of the greats!!

This is Strung Out's first release, funded entirely by them on their own label - although now released by Fat. Although very simple compared to their new stuff, it still kicks ass with songs like 'Adam's Song', 'Support Your Troops' and 'Damned'. This was the beginning of what turns out to be one of the best punk bands ever....

The progressive poets of Scando-garage have done it again. A blinding album that draws upon many influences and distills them into a more or less contemporary garage punk sound. Much the same angry, yet clean and crisp kinda sound as "Survival Sickness" but more eclectic and more embracing of different musical eras and genres (dare I mention that there's a synth on one of the tracks!). Possibly more of an aquired taste than their previous album but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The CD comes complete with a lengthy (in sleeve note terms, anyway) critique of capitalism, lyrics with recommended reading appropriate to each track, and a list of progressive websites. As the lyrics for "Dead language of Love" say; "Hey ... Read More:

To my mind Citizen Fish are the best band to survive the death of the anarcho-punk genre. Whilst Conflict are still plugging away and Rudimentary Peni release something once in a blue moon, Citizen Fish manage to retain all the political ideals from the Subhumans but translate them (via the dub-reggae interlude Culture Shock) through ska-punk into something truly original and inspirational.
"Free Souls in a Trapped Environment" is the best of the Citizen Fish releases in my mind. It is still a slight hangover from Culture Shock and has some reggae songs ("Charity"), some great punk tunes ("Paint", "Talk is Cheap") and the rest are awesome ska tunes that are played so manically yet sound so brilliant it makes your mind dribble ("Get of the Phone" ...
