'Take off Your Pants and Jacket' was the first album when Blink started to write more mature songs. Earlier albums were more for humour and had funny songs. This album has those, and is still classic Blink 182, but shows a more mature side to the boys. In my opinion, this is a good thing, as they have come out with their best album. Tracks:

'Anthem Part 2': Good opener to the album. A classic Blink song with humour and a great one to sing along to. 4/5

'Online Songs': Another sorn with 'Josie' in it. Great song. Quick and to the point, its funny but slightly serious at the same time. 4/5

'First Date': Classic Blink track. Funny but you can hear how true it is aswell. One of Blink's best songs. 5/5

Straight Ahead

This is the best Pennywise album to buy to date! Theres not really a bad song on the cd, just some are better than others!

"Greed" and "My own country" are two of the best opening songs ive heard on any album, they really get you hooked and you'll want to carry on and listen to the rest of the album.

Other really good song on the album are "Alien", "One voice" and "Straight ahead".

If you like bands like Blink 182, New Found Glory and Sum 41, give Pennywise a go, there slightly different but "Straight ahead" will open your eyes up to a whole new world of Punk.

for a few plays i thought...nowhere near AGAINST THE GRAIN bad religion`s GENERATOR was going in slightly another direction to the first 3 albums..and for a while i wasnt sure it was the right path...but it fell in to place to become one of the best albums ever...a worthy follow up to AGAINST THE GRAIN hot tracks .generator .too much to ask . fertile crescent .

i cannot recommend this album enough, along with do or die, the bestest punk album that isn't nofx since rancid,(if that makes sense) this is a classic. from the folksy roots of songs like wheel of misfortune and the fighting 69th to punk songs like devils brigade and boston asphalt. this record also contains one of the best hardcore songs i've ever heard, pipebomb on lansdowne, which is trad hardcore in the agnostic front vein. overall this album is AMAZING and should be bought straight away. (and no, i don't work for amazon) i just hope sing loud sing proud completes a trilogy of classic albums.

Half Hour Of Power

This album has some excellent songs, such as 'Makes No Difference' and 'Summer' (my 2 favourite Sum 41 songs). But I really do feel that there are too many songs which are mainly instrumental. Although I would say that this gives Deryck, Cone, Dave and Stevo32 a chance to show off their excellent skills at playing the guitar and drums. Thats why I have given 5 stars and not 4. If there was 4 and a half stars, I would give 'Half Hour Of Power' that.

If you like Sum 41 and their music, than I would say that you should get this album.

The two finest modern punk bands (and arguably the two best American punk bands of all time) team up for a unique covers album. Fat Mike claims the credit for suggesting the two bands play each other's songs and it proves to be an inspired call.
Despite building a career on songs about depression, lost love and self-abuse, Rancid opt to play some of the more light hearted NOFX tracks. While Vanilla Sex is played much the same as the original version, the other tracks have a little bit more 'grrr', with all quiet sections stripped out, the volume pumped up to 11 and the best bassist in punk letting his fingers run riot on the four string. "GI Joe kung-fu grip?" Eddie Murphy used that line back in 1980 when referring to 1970's boy toys. Sublime lyrics have been done before, yawn. California, drugs, no showers, gross lifestyle after a keg party with too many guys is the message here.

Sublime was just another hop-on-the-band wagon, drugged out, popped up, sloppy 90's, sugar ray/beck, happy-retarded music for idiots. The only difference is they also butchered ska culture. This album should be called "I'm in college USA. I'm never going anywhere in life and my clique of friends is all weak" Sublime should have done a bon jovi cover: "we give SKA a bad name".

I know it's a cheap shot to dis-the-dead lead singer but this album is hideous. A musical decade long plague shoved down our throats ... Read More:
