Dark, restless and haunting, this is one of Morricone's most underated scores. Pitched somewhere between the ominous minimalism of 'The Thing' and the operatic grandeur of 'The Untouchables' - this is must for Morricone fans and devotees of film music elevated to the level of true art. Morricone is a unique composer touched by genuine genius.

If you have ever noticed how good the incidental music for 70's TV show was then this music is for you. Taken from cult Italian movies (1968-72) such as "Lina Lucertola Can La Pelle Di Donna" (A Lizard In The Skin Of A Woman) it is ideal easy listening.

This western from 1969, should be an absolute classic. It stars Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine and its directed by Don Seigel.
Sadly it never quite lives up to the stars and directors reputations. The start is very good, but after that it drifts along. I think the main problem may be the script. Seigels direction is occasionally interesting and Eastwood and MacLaine give decent performances, but by the end I didn't really care what happened.
Its not a bad film, but it could have been a lot better.

Film scores have been a passion of mine since I first heard John Williams' unforgettable score for Star Wars at the age of 14. Since then I have become acutely aware of movie themes and orchestral music's ability to affect one's perceptions and emotions. As a result, my musical collection includes many CDs of music by composers such as James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith and, of course, maestro Williams.
Cinema Serenade, featuring acclaimed violinist Itzhak Perlman, John Williams and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, is a beautiful 13-track collection of movie themes by such famous composers as Elmer Bernstein, Michel Legrand, John Barry, Andrea Morricone, Luis Bonfa, Andre Previn and, of course, Williams.
