This score is one of the most powerful ever written. I'd been searching for this music since I was younger and although in parts the CD is orchestrated differently to the film version (the opening music to the scenes with the whales in the sunset is a prime example and is a bit of a shame)it is still well worth buying.

If I had one complaint about the CD, it would have to be that the quality of the recording isn't as clear as you would expect from the format but this could be down to any number of reasons given the year of the film.

Haunting, Beautiful and a consumate display of film music writing at it's best! the main theme alone is worth the cost of the CD
