For all that albums like 'Talking Book' and 'Songs in the Key of Life' are lauded as his best work, Stevie never put together a more consistently brilliant album than this. Unashamedly pop-orientated, this album bounces along from first to last and every single track could have been a single. Best of the lot, however, are tracks two, three and four - a fantastic reworking of the Beatles' "We Can Work It Out", the titular classic "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" and the wonderful gospel epic "Heaven Help Us All". If you've never listened to a Stevie album - buy this, you'll be hooked. If you love Stevie and don't own this - shame on you!

In theory, Marvin and Tammi recorded three albums together, but Tammi was desperately ill and dying at the time the third album was being recorded, so for most of it, Tammi was replaced by Valerie Simpson, although it was Tammi's name that appeared on the album and the singles that came from it. So the two albums featured on this collection are the only albums that Marvin and Tammi recorded together.
The first album, United, yielded three American hit singles - Ain't no mountain high enough (top twenty), Your precious love (top five) and If I could build my world around you (top ten). In Britain, only the last of these charted and even then it was only a minor hit. There are plenty of other great duets here including a cover of Nancy ... Read More:

Jnr Walker hardly fitted Berry Gordy's "Sound Of Young America" image for Motown, being easily the oldest of the labels stars.
His sound wasn't really that typical of Motown either with a voice that was 'rougher' & more gritty than the labels usual sound.
He also played sax & was (I think) the only instrumentalist to have hits for Motown.
In the early days the sax was raw & usually found on Junior's more obviously Motown songs such as "I'm A Road Runner" & "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You" & his No. 1 song "Shot Gun".
Later in his career his biggest hits (especially in the UK) were more sweet soul such as "Walk In The Night".
But this album does include some great ... Read More:

"What a disappointing CD" says A Customer. All that work all that music yet somebody criticises the IDEA of it.
All I can say about the Velvelettes is thank God they never bothered with that inferior song Where did our love go.The Supremes were about right for it as it enabled them to cut an album containing a song called Come see about me-a song which was covered by Nella Dodds who inspired the Supremes to put it out as a new single for no other reason than to get rid off this "competition".Which says a lot about their sense of morality-Nella cut a vastly superior version but her career never lasted much further and she went back to the church she began from.
Which has nothing to do with the Velvelettes other than to point out they did their ... Read More:
I never cared for the modern music that came from Michael Jackson, but here with 'The Jacksons' he sounded great, and this album is by far their very best! This contains three hits, including their only chart topper from 1977 'Show You The Way To Go'. On this album is the 'elusive' 12" longer version, which to me would have been absolute heaven had I been able to obtain it on a 12" single back at the time! 'Show You The Way To Go' is my favourite record of all time - I played it more than a thousand times (I stopped counting after that!) during the warm summer holidays of 1977! It was the lovely soft disco sound of 'Philadelphia' and was a record that really had no beginning or ending that could have just gone on and on... The follow up single ... Read More:
