The most uplifting album I've heard for a while. This album is packed with boisterous, singalong classics that fulfill the promise of Costello Music. This is a better album. The Fratellis have obviously gained in confidence and there is evidence of abundant songwriting and technical skill here. On first listen, I was struck by musical reminders of Artic Monkeys (My Friend John), Suede(Lupe Brown), Waterboys and Kasabian (Tell Me a Lie), for example. This was a departure from Costello Music which had a consistent Slade feel. The variety of styles is welcome and promises even better for the future because it suggests a good understanding of what it takes to write great songs.

Parachutes is still my favourit album from Coldplay. This album contributed to coldplays success with great songs Shivers, Yellow, High Speed, Everythings not lost. What can I say one of the best English bands ever.

I love this album!
I bought this album for 'now you're gone' and it's probably the track i have listened to least, all tracks are so bouncy and just great.
Release Date March 24, 2008
This album features the greatest song ever written or recorded "LOVE WILL TEAR US APART` - The rest of the songs are OK - but `Love Will Tear Us Apart` is a timeless classic, a work of art that I play about 30 times every day...it is playing now as I write this.
The vocal performance of the late great Ian Curtis is pure pop pefection...I want this song played at my funeral along with "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O`Connor and "My Death" by DAVID BOWIE.
Those three songs are better than any tonic, more moving then any hymn or national anthem and give more of a buzz than any drug.
If you dont like Joy Division or New Order - still BUY this album because "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a reason for living...

Hard to put into words how I feel about the track `No Air'. It is one of the best songs I have heard in the last 10 years or more. Jordin Sparks has an outstanding voice and was a worthy winner of American Idol. Nothing more to say than love this album and look forward to more from Ms Sparks.

Get this album! if you haven't heard of hot chip, or you're looking to buy your first hot chip album, this one is the one to get. I have it for about 2 weeks and it hasn't left my car since, I've to it everyday and I'm still not bored of it.

Ok first of im a huge A7x fan, so im just being honest.
First thing that put me of about this dvd is the fact that they only played 12 songs. I mean, thats just not cool, twelve songs for a whole concert??!! I'd be seriously disapointed if i went to see a band and they played half of what most bands play.
So how good is the dvd performance-wise... Too good, that sounds stupid i know but let me explain;
When you go to see a band live you want to see some energy, something new, something different... With this dvd i only see a band trying to perfect a song.. Almost all of the songs on this dvd sound identical to the record version, and personally i dont think that is cool... Live things should be alot more different.

I'm not going to get caught in the gushing gooey Sasha trap. I've listened to the album a few times now and can't quite sum it up. There are moments of genius (aren't there always with Sasha?), but I can't help feeling that this lacks some of the imagination of Involver. It needs some breaks, more lushness, more melancholy, more something.
That said, I've checked myself before it's too late.... my expectations of Sasha are probably higher than that of any other DJ. Here-in lies the problem. If anyone else had released this, I would be extremely impressed. I know Sasha is even better than this though. The mix however, still gets 4 stars because it's very pleasant on the ear and in fairness the man has evolved his sound again, like he always does.

I have to confess that I'm a complete Lambchop neophyte, but I happened to hear this album and loved it. The painting on the front by artist Michael Peed, Kurt Wagner's former grad school mentor, sets the scene for the album's soundscape: violence (through the window, you can see LA police officers beating a man in a racist attack) is comically and critically contrasted with the intimacy that takes centre stage (a man fondles his lover's breast on a dishevelled bed, blissfully unaware of the tumult outside). There is something more fiery being held back in the music, too, kindling on the coals in the background, but never quite bursting into flames. With his restrained baritone - such a refreshing counter to the rampant unsubtleties of mainstream music, I'd have to say - Kurt Wagner's lyrics ... Read More:

The popularity of this band, i'll start by saying, that i dont think they arent a good band, because they are ok. But no way are they great. Poor singing all round, extremely bad lyrics... Nothing special musically.
Perhaps the most overrated band ever, Oasis seem to continue releasing the same old stuff. Lyrics have progressed worse and worse, the music stays dull and dreary. And Noels poor singing (and liams even worse singing) make these a pretty boring band in my opinion.
I heard one of there new songs the other day (the one with the drawn video, cant remember what its called) And although it wasnt band, it seemed to be all to similar. Alot of the time it starts with a very similar tune to an old song/s but then doesnt carry through and gets worse.
