It's funny to read the negative reviews of 808s & Heartbreak based on the fact that Kanye has neglected his hop-hop/rap roots. For those short-sighted people, they are missing out on hearing what I believe to be one of the albums of the year.
I've never bought a Kanye album before, even though I have picked up the various singles released from all his albums. So I kinda liked him, but never really committed to him by taking the ultimate plunge. On hearing Love Lockdown, I was completely blown away. The contrast between the sparse, quiet moments of the track and the bits where the explosion of drums kick in and Kanye gets all emotional is pure musically brilliance! And that's the point. It shouldn't matter what genre it is ... Read More:

Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray Martin.
Discs 2 and 3 seem to be chronological as well, but it really is big tune after big tune, great if you buy only one dance album. Faithless, Livin Joy, Modjo (what a track!), Olive, Stardust, the list goes on.
I'm lovin it! Couldn't recommend it more...i'll be getting it for people for Christmas...

John Barrowman's rise to fame has been meteoric, and it is not too hard to see why. The performer's addictive and charasmatic personality shines through in everything that he does, and his latest album is no exception.
Some would categorise it as an "easy listening" album, appealing to an older audience, but make no mistke; this is by no means a lightweight release.
The title track "What About Us?" is a relentlessly catchy song, delivered expertly with by Barrowmans clear, silky vocals. Gary Barlow's arrangement is equally stunning, framing a remarkably restrained and powerful track. A refreshing return to "proper pop" without the un-necessary "Powty X Factor Contestant - trying too hard - warbling" style vocals ... Read More:

WELCOME TO THE ALESHA SHOW
Well isn't this a fab opener to the album - I do prefer the extended version, because it has some awesome lyrics like "iTunes straight to your iPhone" - I love it! This is something that I could see on "Fired Up" as well, cos it has that raw edginess that was present on Fired Up, but also the combination of the showmanship-ness (???) that is present on "The Alesha Show".
LET'S GET EXCITED
Wow, the wow-ness keeps improving! This track is sooo strong, I really hope its released as a single because I can see the appeal in the song - it has the singing, a bit of the MCing and just all round happiness! I love the beat, its really poppy and sticks in your head for aages! The lyrics are yet again so ... Read More:

I would never consider myself to be a lover of the type of music that Celine Dion sings but I do think that she is the absolute best at what she does.A lot of people may well harp on about Mariah,Whitney or even Beyonce but Celine has always been one step above all of the other ballad singers and I really do believe that she has a great voice. She does seem to rub some people up the wrong way and she can be a trifle over dramatic but she gets away with it because of her singing talents.
This is a pretty good selection and includes her greatest song 'A New Day Has Come'.I don't think she has ever bettered it vocally and it is a special song.I say that as someone that likes Oasis,Slade and Alice Cooper!!We have been lucky enough to have seen her ... Read More:
