This CD is great but not top notch there are a few bits of music missing the interview with the music writers is a rare insight to what they do and what can happen.
Most of the songs are here but some aren't but it is still enjoyable CD and the interview is a nice extra there is another Mary Poppins CD out there which has every bit of music on it.

I love this cd; It remembers me my childhood and my teenager years!! I saw the movie at the cinema when I was 12 years old and I purchased it on vinyl; now, when I found it on the cd format, I bought it inmediately!! The songs are beautiful and in excellent condition, without scratch and in a very good restoration!! buy it!!

Hairspray

Hairspray the musical is based on the excellent original film, but the music is even better. The soundtrack is a joy to listem to from start to finish. The first song on the soundtrack is "Good Morning Baltimore" a very upbeat number that leaves you wanting more, as the CD goes on it just gets better and better ending on a high with "You can't stop the beat". My favourite song is "I can hear the Bells" where Tracy declares her undying love for Link.

The CD has all sorts on it, sad, happy, funny songs but they all have the 1960's feel to it, making you wish you were part of that era.

Close your eyes and play this CD and you are back in the theatre listening to this wonderful musical. Hours later you still have the music and the words buzzing around your head as it is so memorable. Stephanie Lawerence is very good playing Mrs Johnstone, and was an exceptional singer but the Liverpool accent was perhaps best produced by Linda Nolan although she did not have the quality of Stephanie's voice. I have see the musical four times with the same Narrator,and he is is superior to Warwick Evans. Also, Eddie is today played with gusto and at all four performances he has been fantastic and what an accent. I saw the film and really liked it, so I bought this. Unfortunately, on this version of the CD all of Jennifer Hudson's powerful songs are 'highlight' versions, so not the ones used in the film...The CD isn't bad, but it wasn't what I wanted...I am going to try the deluxe version.

This CD is amazing.I saw the show in August and loved it and the CD is just so wonderful.The passion and vitality of the music is all there.Matt Rawle is an amazing actor(and a perfect Zorro,I just luv him) he has a very powerful voice(especially in Hope) and Lesli Margherita (Inez,the gypsy queen) is wonderful in Bamboleo and Djobi Djorba another very powerful voice, the rest of the cast add to the flamenco fiesta atmosphere. The music of the Gypsy Kings is so vibrant and passionate you just have to get up and (try) to sing and dance along.I have listened to it constantly since I got it (5 days ago) and it is now one of my favourite west end cast cds and I have a few.Buy it and enjoy.

I had never experienced Sweeney Todd before this film came along. As a fan of musicals, the actors Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and the director Tim Burton, I was bound to enjoy the film. What I did not expect, was to enjoy it so much. I am sure I would never have gone to see the musical on stage, having not seen this film first. I now look forward to the experience with pleasure.

I enjoy soundtracks of musicals almost as much as the real thing, and this did not disappoint, a fact I shall be relishing in for the next few months for sure, as I get to know the tracks as well as other favourites such as The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.

I would recommend this to virtually anyone.

Having watched a production of Annie with my pet mouse, I was pursuaded to buy the CD for him. He loves it! He's constantly listening to the album and has made himself a wig out of the wax that covers edam cheese. He's even started eating less cheese so that he can feel more like an orphan. My only worry is that he now has a love of dogs and being a mouse, this is potentially hazardous. This is why I have only awarded four stars, but if you asked him, he'd give it five . . . and a half if that was possible.

shonberg and boubile really outdone there selves on this one. les miserable has been my favourite musical since the age of 7 (now 17) this fabulous CD has made a My collection complete...The opening song to the finale...be sure be amazed...in this you will find humour from the theanidares...pasion from the love struck cosette, marius and eponine. you will find Gut wrenching kindness and compasion from the star of the show Jean Val Jean...and what is a show with out a villan...Officer Javert is the piest de resistance!!! Listen out for On my own, Master of the house, stars, empty chairs at empty table

Your musical life has not yet begun until this show has been listened to!!!!!!!
