I guess 'Grease' really sums up Olivia's contribution to the pop scene - cool, calm and collected as the country girl with the silky voice, with tracks like 'Sam', 'I Honestly Love You', 'A Little More Love', 'Deeper than the Night', 'Take Me Home'......et al. Middle road with the early tracks in Grease....., progressing to the 'chick' at the end, with 'You're the One that I Want'! A dynamic image change from 'Sandra Dee' to Pink Lady, 'Sandie'!
This CD is a mix of the lively and the lovely, with the lyrics to 'Banks of the Ohio', surprising the odd new listener! Our personal favourites are:- 'Magic', 'Xanadu', 'Physical', 'Heart Attack' and 'Long Live Love'. Personally we would have omitted the 'Grease Megamix' at the ... Read More:

This really is the best recording of the show. I know there are longer versions but this is the original and the one to replace your old LP version which must now be worn out.
In 2008 in the UK we had an excellent profesional tour of the show and it was this CD that made me book for the show! Carol Channing is Dolly, was Dolly and nobody could better her performance.
The CD brings back seeing her on the London stage with Eddie Bracken as Horace and she was brilliant and this studio recording captures all of the razzmatazz. A super reissue of a classic album.

I really liked breakdance & breakdance 2 when released as I was into the breakin stuff then, and was in a crew, and had plenty of burns ! The music in breakdance 2 is fantastic, very 80's I know but very dynamic & different. The whole film is fresh, uplifting and has a reasonable story to carry the dancing along with it, even though its your typical Satruday 80's ChiPs episode storyline. A feel good factor film which doesnt take itself seriously too much ! definately worth a view !

I've given this movie two stars rather than one for daring to offer an alternative to The King's deplorable beach/boy racer movies. 'Stay Away, Joe' is surely in a genre of its own, ie, a comedy that begins with a plaintive harmonica instrumental to depress the viewer even before the lame gags begin. Elvis is actually okay but the characters, story and jokes are poor. One drole one-liner ("You got lots of guts, lady") does not an hilarious comedy make. I had heard that there were many amateurish continuity errors in the rodeo scenes, yet was still taken aback at how painfully conspicuous they are. The music could be worse - 'Stay Away' is a melodic take on 'Greensleeves' but is let down by an awkward repeated hook line. 'All I Needed Was the Rain' has the basis ... Read More:

This was always going to be a no brainer purchase as Les Mis is a brilliant musical.
My only bit of advice? Make sure you see Phantom & Woman in White before this one, as they just won't live up to Les Mis' brilliance.
The only downer about this is that some of my favourite songs ie Heart full of love have been made into medleys and therefore edited. Buy the full version if possible.

This is the soundtrack from the play that all started in London't west end. An American by the name of Paul Hipp played the role of Buddy.
I finally got to see it in Toronto, Canada and went 9 times. Got to know Mr. Hipp at the time. I hear he's settled down now; but he was just crazy enough to play this part so well......you would think Buddy was alive within him. He was brilliant. The soundtrack is great with Hipp & the others doing a great job.
