I Love You You're Perfect Now Change is a musical revue, based on dating, marriage and the like. It is, for the majority, fantastic. Really funny and original. It is very witty, and the performances are superb. I like all the tracks, though naturally, I favour some over others. My favourites include Single Man Drought (how true! :p), On the Highway of Love (wittyness abound!), Shouldn't I be Less in Love With You? (I found it quite touching) and the Epilogue/I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (sheer brilliance, and the harmonies are fantastic!) Admittedly, there are some tracks I tend to skip over on listening to it repeatedly, but due to the diversity of this album, these could easily be other people's favourites. In summary, it's ... I guess 'Grease' really sums up Olivia's contribution to the pop scene - cool, calm and collected as the country girl with the silky voice, with tracks like 'Sam', 'I Honestly Love You', 'A Little More Love', 'Deeper than the Night', 'Take Me Home'......et al. Middle road with the early tracks in Grease....., progressing to the 'chick' at the end, with 'You're the One that I Want'! A dynamic image change from 'Sandra Dee' to Pink Lady, 'Sandie'!
This CD is a mix of the lively and the lovely, with the lyrics to 'Banks of the Ohio', surprising the odd new listener! Our personal favourites are:- 'Magic', 'Xanadu', 'Physical', 'Heart Attack' and 'Long Live Love'. Personally we would have omitted the 'Grease Megamix' at ... Read More:

As I said above, the sole purpose of this wonderful picture is a chance for Metro Goldwyn Mayer to showcase it's biggest stars in the year of 1948.
And with a line up including Judy Garland, Perry Como, Gene Kelly, Lena Horne and Mickey Rooney as well as others, you can bet there's a lot of talent to go around.
A biopic of the songwriting team Rogers + Hart who were behind such shows as 'Babes in Arms' gives every star a chance to show off their own unique talent, whether it's dancing, singing, acting or comedy.
A truly historic collection of Hollywood's finest, it's worth every penny!

This is the best film ever but try as I might I can not get hold of it for region 2. If anyone knows where or how I can find this film to play on my DVD player, here in England, I would be grateful.
Same goes for "My Beautiful Son" AKA "Strange Relations" in the American market.

This album contains the funniest songs I have ever heard, all of which composed by Marc Shaiman and co written with Trey Parker. It is not just the hilarious lyrical content but the skillful orchestral arrangements of Marc Shaiman that contribute to the comedic success of the songs. The song highlights include "Blame Canada", "La Resistance (Medley)", "Mountain Town" and "I'm Super". Each song being funny the more you hear it, this is an albulm which you will never tire of hearing! The second half of the album contains a collection of horrible and pointless interpretations, this valuable space on the CD has been wasted when it could have contained some of Marc Shaimans original witty score! However the brilliantly written songs still give this album ... Read More:

The first time I watched this movie, I immediately fell in love with it. Having been a long time fan of the work of Alan Menken's music, I expected great things from this musical. I wasn't disappointed. The music has the energy that is so reminiscent of Menken's earlier works with Disney ('Little Mermaid', 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Aladdin'). While Jack Feldman is no Howard Ashman when it comes to lyrics, he does manage to hold his own. The stand out song for me was 'Seize the Day'. The only two songs that in my mind slow the musical down are the ones performed by Ann-Margret.
With live action, it is sometimes hard to choreograph the dance sequences to match the energetic music. Yet Kenny Ortega and Peggy Holmes manage to do just that. The ... Read More:

The musical 'Hair' is easily one of my favourites. Here, the broadway album has been remastered for much better sound (many of the vocals are a lot clearer than on previous releases). The second disc contains the original 'off-broadway' album - never before released on CD. It provides a great insight into the humble beginnings of this experimental 'happening'. Also, the interview track with one of the show's creators Galt MacDermot is quite interesting (although probably unnecessary). Altogether, great value for money - and a must-buy for any fan of the show (or Hippie ideals!)

FTD has a durable reputation as a genuinely funny comedy, and one of The King's best movies. The latter may be true but then most of Elvis's films are dreadful. Though the star acts quite well here, the movie has dated badly. It's characterised by a particularly twee brand of lame humour, the story and characters are wafer thin, and - the title song excepted - the soundtrack numbers are forgettable.
Release Date March 20, 1999
Paint your Wagon is a great western comedy musical and this is the soundtrack. Everything on the film is on the CD, which is great and even better it's in order of appearance within the film. You can't ask for much more in a film soundtrack.
Where am I going? I don't know! Where am I headed? I ain't certain. All that I know is I am on my way...
