There is not a single synthesiser, studio production, nothing to interfere with the clarity of this woman's flute playing. The echo of the cave is subtle and opens out the sound. You can not only hear the occasional drip of water, but her breath also, which brings a meaningful raw feeling into the playing. She is not hiding anything anywhere and this CD is so much the better for it. You really wish you were there for this audio communication and representation of the spirits of the songs and pieces she plays. This is briskier and swings along faster than We The People, some tracks will have you stomping around your lounge. Plenty of chants and languages from a variety of American Indian nations, which always makes it more interesting. Only gripe is could have done with another track or two.
