I would recommend this CD. I was having trouble settling my mind. My mind was always racing from one event to the next. With this Cd I have managed to practice my relaxation techniques to great effect.

I played it for my husband when I first got it and had to turn it off as he was supposed to be working but was feeling more and more relaxed!

I saw this bloke at Oxford Polytechnic many years ago supporting Tangerine Dream. He wore a full length fur coat and a nest of keyboards. What followed was so off the wall for the time that I bought the album on sale in the foyer, and I still have the vynil today and it's still a treasured item three decades later.
The album is "experimental" to the listener but you get the feeling that F.B. is/was not conciously being an experimentalist. The sounds herein are a mixture of electronica, "real" instruments (sax, violin etc) and F.B.s own voice. The music is set somewhere in the area of Philip Glass, Daevid Allen (of the Euterpe period) and T Dream. But it has it's own quality which I've never heard anywhere else since. Clic is a set of ... what a fantasic album. i first heard of the penguin cafe orchestra on irelands classic radio whilst on holiday there. on my return home i bought a copy of "a brief history" and my ears have been truly treated. if you have heard anything by the pco but dont own any of their stuff, but like this sort of music then take the plunge you wont regret it and just like me treat your ears.

Secret Garden are living proof that - contrary to what Terry Wogan would have you believe - something good can come out of the Eurovision Song Contest. The duo - Fionnuala Sherry, a violinist, and Rolf Lovland, a pianist - won the competition for Norway in 1995. Rolf was one of Norway's most successful songwriters before forming the band. Fionnuala is actually Irish and had played with the RTE Philharmonic Orchestra for ten years before joining the band.

"Dreamcatcher" is a compilation album, covering the band's first three albums. It was released in 2000 and contains 18 tracks, the majority of which are instrumental.
