i first heard this amazing mantra whilst in the arthur findlay college in stanstead. i was instantly hooked.

its meaning i believe is 'i bow to shiva' the inner being.
this mantra is an inspiration, and i highly recommend it to anyone interested in self awareness.

Angugama uses the didgeridoo and a drum beat, along with the sounds of nature, and synchronization with certain brain wave patterns, to clear the emotions and help focus the mind and heart on these beautiful sounds. It certainly works for me. The music is peaceful and meditative. It surely heals one from the stresses and tensions of daily life ... they seem to melt away ... or at least are viewed from a different, more clear perspective and feeling when the music is played and for a long time afterwards.

I first heard this paragon of ambient music in 1984 while camping at Ashwell farm in Glastonbury UK. New Age music was unheard of by me at the time but two companions I met were playing this and Kitaro's Ki on rotation as we soaked up the Somerset sun. I was hooked to new age music from then on and have been an avid collector ever since. Nearly 25 years later this is still the most beautiful and chilled out piece of relaxation/meditation music I have in my collection; I have never grown bored of it. If you wish to enter an ambient space of quiet meditation buy this album. You will not be disappointed.

As is true with a lot of things, I sort of fell over this CD by "case" in a particularly difficult time in my life and felt that I should order it, a decision I haven't regretted a moment since. Kim Thomas's soothing, healing, lovely and clear voice brings us through a very powerful meditation that combines and balances the male and female energies of the Divine Mother and the Archangels. the album paint the sky with stars is in my opinion tone of the best albums i have heard if not the best , the truely haunting voice of enya realy relaxes your mind & soul. When i listen to track 3 book of days it gives me goose bumps all over & sends shivers down my spine,but not as much astrack 7 " china roses" . track 10 "storms in africa" has got to be the best piece of musical work i have had the pleasure of listen to . all in all this is a true musical masterpiece which i will never get board with just like everything enya have produced . thank's enya !

Usual high standard and varied content in an album that grows on you with each playing - just like the earlier collections. Input from backing musicians is a welcome addition to usual formats. Judy Sweeney's haunting vocal contributions (especially the title track) are superb. Her voice blends so well with Dick's.

Apart from the "own compositions" and traditional tracks we have songs penned by Ewan McColl and Jo South. Something for everyone, then. Try it - you'll like it.
