Well, I was very dissappointed in this CD, I was looking for a relaxing natural soundtrack, and to be quite frank, there are no natural sounds on this CD at all, and I find it hard to believe that water was is in anyway connected to this 'music' at all.
Are all ambient heaven cds like this??

This cd was recommended to me by a colleague of mine, I wasn't sure - it seemed old and dated in terms of published date. However, I have been pleasantly suprised, it's easy to follow, he has a very calm voice and it's very relaxing! It's so easy to follow you don't have to listen to it every time you want to relax - you simply remember what he said! Helping me loads! Anyone suffering from stress, anxiety, lack of sleep or you simly want to relax - BUY IT!

Yes as i said in title this is by far enya's best album, its truely beautiful music and to be honest this is the only enya cd i listen to the others dont come close, however enya's other works are very good too, and if you want to listen to alot of music like this then her other cd's i would recommend also.

This CD is excellent quality for its budget price; it is very calming and creates a tranquil ambience to help you get off to sleep. Each track is pleasing and relaxing, and helps me get back to sleep again quickly when waking through the night.

I found this music to be tacky and poor quality in comparison with other CDs of this style. The title does not fit at all, there is nothing to put you in mind of forests and it could benefit from more natural sounds.
There are several CDs in the Ambient Heaven collection; I also bought "Dawn, which I found to be pleasant and definitely better than this one.

If you only buy one Rick Wakeman album this is the one to get. OK it sounds dated now, and some of the synthesizer sounds are frankly horrible, but in many ways its a classic album.
The melodies are its strongest point. There really are some lovely tunes on this album, and they given extra emphasis by some great orchestral arrangements such as on the opening track "Arthur". There is also superb choral backing by the English Chamber Choir, perhaps most notebly used on the short track 2 "Lady of the Lake". I had Journey to the Centre of the Earth on vinyl decades ago and there is no comparison. Arthur is superior in every way.
The weakest part of the album for me are tracks 6 "Sir Galahad" and 7 "The Last Battle". I was ... Read More:

I just had to give my opinion on this cd as I had ordered it on the recomendations of the other reviewers,
first of all if you are not a fan of david bedford then give this a miss as it sounds to me like it was cheaply put together, I know this was recorded in the 70's but there are better alternatives out there from that decade. robert powells voice as the narator gives it some credit but is drowned out too often by the music, I gave this cd a few plays just to see if it would grow on me but I have just taken it to the charity shop.

The atmospheres, textures, spaces, and other worldly sounds of this album are staggering. All other attempts at a "World" music seem to me slight by comparison.
There is deep unease in this album; like another reviewer in these pages, I cannot help but be struck by the prescience of the piece, capturing an African/Arabian world ill at-ease under the yoke of what were then growing global American and other western interests.
The narratives of Byrne's "Remain in Light" have now been jettisoned in favour of sonic landscapes which perfectly evoke another world, real or imagined, far more vividly even than the brilliant "Listening Wind" from the Talking Heads disc.
Eno showed too how he could move from the cold, stark world of eastern ... Read More:

An EXCELLENT album - the sound quality is astounding! the cd is a big improvement in sound quality compared to vinyl (for a change!). My favourite track, ANNE OF CLEVES, is a masterpiece. Crystal clear recording, Rick's keyboards and Alan White's drums come literally crashing out of the speakers, definitely one to get you moving! In fact this whole album would rank alongside any Yes album. Very highly recommended, an essential addition for any Yes/Classical/Prog Rock fan.
