Mirzbird is Merzbow’s second ‘beat based’ album following on from Merzbeat, so is marginally more accessible to those newcomers who might be put of by Merzbow's normal wall of sound, but this is still a very noisy and uncommercial album. Merzbow spins out his extended feedback improvisations over various industrial rhythmic pulses, but there is nothing approaching conventional beat-based music here. Jagged and busy, Mirzbird is full of incident and is one of Merzbow’s better releases of the year – if you’re thinking of dipping your toes into the maelstrom of noise that is Merzbow this is a good place to start.

this is possibly the best Digital Hardcore Records recording! although to be honest i haven't heard every DH record, but out of the ones i have (quite a few) it is my favourite! he mixes tons and tons of samples (i love samples) with pure noise that has a cool beat! im sure if you are familiar with Digital Hardcore you will have an idea of what i am talking about! anyway very cool! you should buy if you like the sound of it! especially if you are a DH fan! and its pretty cheap!
