So much has already been said about Wolf Eyes. They release far too many records, they sound like a modern-day Whitehouse, they are the kings of a new style of metal, they are a 'power electronics' band.
None of this does any real justice to the reality behind this act. Each member of the band works under a diverse selection of pseudonyms releasing an eclectic selection of sounds, ranging from the peculiar alien animal sounds of Guam River to the harrowing industrial mulch of Gate to Gate. Indeed, some of this music lacks quality control, but this is not the case on Burned Mind.

I have no idea why Dreams feels the need to attack my ears with high-pitched noises every so often; I sometimes feel like my only option is to abandon it altogether, run far away and seek something easier. That would explain why I didn't give it the chance it deserved until last night, of course; a night where some of the greatest jazz of this decade had finally opened up to me. This is both delicate and crazed (I advise you to listen to the last track to hear both at once), and the presence of the female vocals give it an almost classic feel, yet sounding thoroughly modern throughout. this is possibly the best Digital Hardcore Records recording! although to be honest i haven't heard every DH record, but out of the ones i have (quite a few) it is my favourite! he mixes tons and tons of samples (i love samples) with pure noise that has a cool beat! im sure if you are familiar with Digital Hardcore you will have an idea of what i am talking about! anyway very cool! you should buy if you like the sound of it! especially if you are a DH fan! and its pretty cheap!

I have to agree with my fellow towns-mans remarks. Merzbow has been here for 20+ years and still continues to scupt new sonic structures from his seemingly neverending arsenal of raw sound. If you can get this, then i highly recommend 'Pulse Demon', my first introduction to Akita's work. There are many who rate Merzbow as the best in this 'genre' if you will. Simply put, let yourself be pummelled by pure weight and density of sound
