steve "mudflap" mcgrew, I have seen this guy on alot of stand-up
shows on english telly...and he made me crack up everytime I saw
him. this cd is a LIVE show which lasts nearly 70 minutes and I
have listened to it many times already, this man is so funny and
has great delivery on all his topics.

its well worth the price you pay, as I said its a great CD and
one of his best shows with over an hour of funny as hell material

4 stars...because 70 minutes is good, more would make it 5!!!

From a psychological perspective food is clearly a pivotal element in the work of "Weird Al" Yankovic, even more so than television. This is why of those two thematic collections "The Food Album" is the better of the pair. The question would be why you do not already have the best of these satirical songs in your music library. "I Love Rocky Road," "Eat It," and "Fat" would be considered the classic "Weird Al" pieces, although I have a fondness for "My Bologna" as one of the best uses of the accordion in Yankovic's career (outside the awesome polka medlies). As far as the rest of the tracks go, it is just a question of, well, taste. "The Theme from Rocky XIII" is above average in my book, but most of the rest, such as "Lasagna" and "Addicted ... Ray Stevens was known in the 1960s and 1970s for his funny songs like Bridget The Midget, Ahab The Arab, Gitarzan and The Streak, but he had a serious side that is explored here. His version of Sunday Morning Coming Down is my favourite of all the versions I’ve heard, with its lush production and soaring vocals. Misty is a banjo-driven country song that was a hit in 1974 and Turn Your Radio On is a light, poppy number with gospel undertones. Take Care of Business is a serious, somber song with gripping lyrics and a memorable tune. The cover versions of She Belongs To Me and Young Love are accomplished and very listenable. Unfortunately Nervous wasn't around to see it all.
But what's here is not only his own singles but a selection of demos from his own custom service.
Defintely a 5 Star CD because of the detailed sleeve nots and overall packaging.
The career of Nervous in the U K meant nothing other than 4 singles issued up to 1962 then a 10" LP in the 80s which made Transfusion available for the first time,
Obviously this was banned and would probably be so today in these politically correct times.
Ape Call is though an all time classic

ANOTHER ONE RIDES THE BUS and MR FRUMP IN THE IRON LUNG are outstanding and the track "GOTTA BOOGIE" with it's disco beat and punchline of "Gotta boogie on my finger and I can't flick it off" will have you in stitches. This album represents the start of something great!
