just finished listening to this. Words fail me,but here goes.. It was the aural equivalent of being hit over the head with a cricket bat. Make's Leonard Nimoy's long player of a few years back sound like Vaughan Williams. One of those rare occasions when the name of the artist tells you all you need to know about the quality of the music.Sure to be a major disappointment to everyone but those who really do spend every waking moment aboard the starship enterprise.

I like a range of music country, jazz, pop, rock, and metal. I enjoy bluegrass possessing albums by Alison Krauss, Emmy Lou Harris and several compilations as well as metal albums with the original AC/DC tracks. I appreciate both types of music and this was a must listen to album for me. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Enjoying the orignal AC/DC rsions theses renditions added nothing. If you like metal do not buy this. If you like metal and bluegrass do not buy this. If you like bluegrass but not metal then this is probably worth a listen.

So much of what we remember is only part of what this CD offers. For those who have known Stan Freberg through John and Marcia and haven't ever been in contact with the rest of his considerable and varied opus, this is a must

For years I have wanted a cd of Spike and now I have a PC and just made my first transaction I am amazed by the speed and quality of service. It is so good to hear the tracks as they should be instaed of an old 45 record. Well done all, I will be shopping again in the near future

A lot of boxed sets are little more than 'coffee table' CD collections. They have their greatest hits and a lot of filler and alternative versions (usually the same song with a different drum roll at the start).
This collection is a must for anyone who wants to get into the Beach Boys in that it contains all the hits plus tracks to treasure on every disk. Most importantly it contains the nearest 'official' approximation to the original Smile Album we're likely to get which perfectly compliments the recent re-recording Wilson made with The Wondermints. Add to this a bonus disk of great live and a cappella takes and a fascinating accompanying book and you've almost got an embarrassment of riches covering the whole gamut from Surfin' to Kokomo. ... Richard Cheese is a genius, as far as a musician can be. The inventiveness of his lounge-style versions of famous rock songs has the ability to make large groups of people dance, laugh and sing all at the same time even if they've never heard of him before, especially at things like music festivals after the music's finished for the night, whack a bit o lounge against the machine on and you're set. My personal favourite is 'Creep' (originally by Radiohead), but all the songs on here are great to listen to. If it's dead serious you're after, then this won't be your cup of tea, but if you're looking for light-hearted, easy listening and still inventive and clever, with as many martinis and tuxedos thrown in as possible, then ... Even more filth dirt cheap, a welcome return on CD from the original filthy monkey himself. As most of my old tapes of the classic albums had either been stolen by those who covet mucky songs, or turned to cassette dust (as these things tend to do) I was as pleased as Esther Rantzen at a rude vegetable contest to see this 'un available. This is top banana music from a time when you could play these songs at top volume and your neighbour would only ask where he could buy them from himself. A great collection of songs on "Fruity Bits" there is, although while I appreciate that it's not possible to please everyone all of the time, would it have killed him to include "My Brother's Magazine" in with the rest? And while I'm at it, how about Mr Biggun AKA ... Read More:

The description says "Various Artists" which I guess is true, but they are not Original Artists and most of the tracks sound like they are buy the same singer. If you can imagine the vampire in Sesame Street singing monster mash you wont be too far from what you are getting on this CD - I'm sure kids will love it not having heard the originals and the sound effects track is worth the purchase price on its own, just put that track on a loop and have the spooky screaming and noises playing in the background as your guests arrive

weird Al is so original and fresh. And this album certainly maintains that tradition. Of note is his parody of Avril Lavignes's complicated, you'll be rolling in the aisle. Also worthy of note, is Al's very own 'party at the leper colony' and 'ode to a superhero'
he is as fresh and orginal as he is funny, keep em coming Al.
