I bought this album on recommendation from a friend. However, I'm considering severing all ties with that friend. I have pretty diverse tastes in music and don't mind a bit of well written and produced nu-metal. However, this is awful. The guitars sound a mess, the vocals are well below par and the songs are instantly forgettable, which is probably a blessing. There are many better bands doing this sort of thing much more successfully (see Korn, Slipknot etc.) At the same time as buying this I also got Machinhead's Supercharger album. Supercharger is still in my collection - this one went on Amazon's marketplace and was sold for a few pennies. I didn't mind losing the money - anything to get this abysmal CD out of my house.

At first I must admit I was ever so slightly by this, I mean the overall concept being an album completely composed of covers, we want some original stuff Zack! However after a few listens the songs grow and grow, and most sound like they could well have been written by RATM. Highlights include a pounding cover of Afrika Bambaata's "Renegades Of Funk" and a sublime cover of Bruce Springsteens "the Ghost Of Old Tom Joad", and Rage even get all melodic on "Beautiful world". Add to this the slightly mad "Pistol Grip Pump", the infectious "Housing" and their very own high octane version of the MC5's "Kick Out The Jams" and you end up with an album of quality and one which no RATM fan should ... Before i bought this i already had Adrenaline and Around the Fur, and i went out to buy this thinking that it was going to be a further improvement on Around The Fur(Which was AWESOME one of the best CD's ive ever heard), and i was disappointed, dont get me wrong it has some good songs, but none of them really grab me and dont match up to ANY of the songs on Around The Fur, i was amazed when i heard chino trying to sing rather than his screaming taunts which everyone loves them for. After this you may think that i am no longer a deftones fan but i am its just that this album is nothing compared with the other 2.

This is ICP's 2nd Jokers Card after "Carnival of Carnage" this cd might not be as good as some of the later albums such as the "Great Milenko" or "The Amazing Jeckel Brothers" the cd is still has some great songs on it such as, Mr. Johnsons Head, Southwest Song, Love Song and more this is a must for any ICP fans or anyone who like rap music.
Release Date October 30, 2000
This is very aggressive rock! It's not the best punk album you will ever hear but it has some great songs, such as "Refuse Amen", "The Price of Reality", and "Too Hard to Be Free".

Roorback is the third entry in Sepultura's Derrick Green-led career, and it is yet another album by this lineup that both surpasses anything from their so-called heyday and holds its own as a full on metal masterpiece.
Roorback is the band's first major release for SPV Records, and although the albums barely get any promotion its not because of a lack of quality. If the albums saw a bit more advertising they might shift a few more copies and get the reputation they so deserve. Roorback sees the band return to a style of mostly faster material. The opening industrial clunking gives way to Come Back Alive, very fast and very hard. From here on the album varies between uptempo thrashers and more downbeat, moody numbers, arguably the better material as once again, we see a new ... Read More:

To be honest, I've had this CD for YEARS and never fully listened to it until now!
It's better than I expected - production is sharp, the bass guitar is loud & pumping and the crunchy guitar work seems to be a hybrid of Borland's rhythm work with Limp Bizkit and the guitar harmonies that you would hear on Iron Maiden albums (Last Resort=Hallowed Be Thy Name!). There aren't any solos to speak of, but good riffs and a thick tone suffice, paricularly with such solid bass playing to accompany.
The drums are not overly technical but do the job, and there is the odd burst of turntable skills from (guest) DJ AM.
The lyrics it must be said are very teen angst, and the rap vocals won't be to everyone's tastes BUT in themselves are more than good.
Whilst maybe not in fashion anymore, ... Read More:

When I first heard this album via the Amazon snippets, I thought "not bad". The album cover gave the impression that this was some sort of death metal band and so I was at first hesitant. Then some time later I downloaded 'Remedy'. Pretty good, I thought. Let's buy the album. So that I did. That decision was the best one I have ever made as this is my favourite album of all time, bar none. So to be top of a 200+ rock album pile means that this is indeed something special.
As is usually the case, the dark times of the lead-singer/songwriter Scooter Ward has produced an album full of tracks with emotion and deep-felt feeling. There is not one filler on the album. The mix of songs as they flow from one to the next is amongst the best you will ever hear.

Whats the best way to put this? Everybody is wrong. Sadly this world is full of people who are afraid of progression. This sort of person does not like anything but albums such as Kill 'Em All, Reign In Blood and so on. Some people would only be happy if a band kept releasing albums with crap production forever, full of songs they could probably write themselves considering how many times they've listened to whichever band they're into's first four albums. No more is such a stereotype found than amongst fans of metal. So-called Sepultura fans have been unfairly harsh on this album. These are the people who followed Max Cavalera into the mainstream and never looked back. Back on the home front, his former bandmates delved into obscurity and unearthed a gem, and released a masterpiece.
