Angel Dust is a great album. Period. Just received the remastered version. Doesnt sound that much different to the original. Probably worth it if you're a completist (which I am). Pretty hard for an untrained ear to hear the differences.

Devil Without a Cause

No other artist could come close to touching this album. Kid mixes so many genres together to make this album tantelizing and unique!. I bought this album a few years ago and to this day its novelty still hasn't worn off. Not only is it special in a way it's compelling in its origionality, but it is also warming to know that this album helped, if not revolutionised rock and rap by itself. This album stands out far beyond his other albums and prokes so many emotions in a wide range of songs. I strongly advise purchasing this album if you have found albums such as cocky, history of Rock or Kid rock or any of his previous albums appealing.

Make Yourself: Special Tour Edition

If you like the Incubus sound, you cannot fail to enjoy this album immensely. Every song grabs your attention and holds it with amazing lyrics or awesome guitar riffs. My fav. tracks - The Warmth, Privilege, Stellar and Clean, but all are really very close or at to 10/10. all 5/5. buy it and see.

Despite what people say I think this is a great album, probably his most commercial yes but still great. The guitar is very origional. Tim's style is awesome and although you get bored with this quickly I still really lik the hits on it and Spade, Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth and several others although I recommend getting his other stuff first like on Lest We Forget you get a taster of alot of his albums. It's still essential but no Manson fan should give it less than 3 stars becuase I doubt anyone could do better even me. Genrally a good album though.

Life Is Peachy

Very, very raw sounding album- but manages to be cool and seriously heavy at the same time- helped by some fantastic drumming by David! The first one of their CDs I ever bought and the best album overall (although 'Blind' on the first album is their best effort)....best tracks are chi and good god....and although no-one else has mentioned it "swallow" has a great, dark riff.

Any serious critique of the history of Grand Guignol must

1996' 'Antichrist Superstar' digs around in some very dark
places indeed and this from a man used to digging darkly.

Decay, madness, dissolution, gristle and blood and bone.
Polymorphous perversity by the bucket load.

the world of music was being over run with nu metal at the time of this albums release, so it makes perfect sense that a return to something different but safe was optioned by the record company. as here we have a very talented bunch of men, who sound like alice in chains covering metallica songs.
which personally i am very happy with as they are two of my favourite bands and these boys have twisted the sounds of these two bands ever so slightly by blending them together, the pained layne stayleyesque howl of sully erna lends itself so perfectly to the bastardised metallica rifs that the band are playing behind him.

White Pony

As clichéd as this sounds, here's an album that changed my outlook on music. Not in the asteroid-smashing-against-earth way, but in a slowburning, creeping manner. I never subscribed to 'nu-metal', with the Korn's, Stain'd, Limp Bizkit's and Incubii, etc, but I did love Faith No More's music, and in Deftones the ideology and execution actually marry perfectly, while still having their own identity. Plus Chino Moreno can actually sing.

This album is their definitive. While the new one (SNW) is 5-star quality and more catchy, it's still nowhere near the scope present here. This album feels like a concept, plays like a greatest hits, and treads the fine line between heavy and melodic throughout, as opposed to purely heavy or purely melodic tracks.

Arise

The way I see it, Sepultura released three suberb, classic albums in a row(arguably four if you loved the Roots album). These are Beneath the Remains (1989), Arise (1991)and Chaos AD (1993). Beneath was where the band had burst onto the international metal scene with their mixture of pure speed and aggression with complex songwriting skills in a way that ensured a classic album. Chaos AD was were the band truly became unique and one of the first groove metal acts, whilst adding significant tribal influences on their music.
Arise could be seen as a bridge between Beneath and Chaos, although it's overall sound is closer to Beneath than Chaos. This is because the band did add a few tribal infuenced to their thrash here. For example, the jungle-style intro to Altered State and the acoustic guitars ... Read More:
