Around a year after the release of 'The Album', Mantronix released the follow up 'Music Madness', which sought to build on the production values of the earlier release. As I wrote in my review of 'The Album', Kurtis Mantronik had indicated that he felt much of his time on the earlier project had been spent familiarising himself with the technology available, and looking for ways to give expression to the numerous ideas that he was keen to develop. As with 'The Album' it was clear that the duo of Mantronik and MC Tee were quite prepared to forge their own direction musically, although prior to release rumours had started to abound of creative differences between the two with indications that the duo might split.

This Album contains saome of his earliest released material, before his first proper studio album Rhyme Pays was created. The whole album is quite simply produced with a lot of human beatbox and simple drum machines, a far cry from todays very slick hip hop stlye.

Hip hop has become on of the biggest genres in the UK today, with everywhere from LA to Tokyo making the music. This is a celebration of mainly US hip hop, with sprinklings of UK hip hop for good measure. This is mainly old skool rap, as most of it has been out for a while now.

CD1 is a selection of West Coast rap, and any hip hop lover's dream. With tracks from legendary Dr Dre, 2Pac and Warren G, you can't help but feel this has been good value for money. Tracks like Californa Love are quite commercial, so it's nice to have a few lesser known tracks chucked in the mix. It is very frustrating listening to the classic sounds of White Lines and just when you are starting your first attempt of a head spin, it goes quiet half way through.The good side it is at buget price and its 14 tracks of bliss.
