This soundtrack bares little resemblance to the music featured in the film. Some of the songs are produced by Bill Laswell the compiler of this CD and then cut up by the DJ's. A couple of the tracks are from another Album entirely.

There are a couple of low points Bill Laswells Eight and a half minute Remix of Herbie Hancock's Rockit is far too long and sounds muddled (a case of too many DJ's spoil the broth ?)

If you are looking for the CD equivalent or companion to scratch, I wouldn't recommend this, but suggest that you get the DVD instead.

However this is an interesting Album in it's own right, with enough to keep the listener engaged i.e. Eddie Def and the Invidibl Skratch Piklz.

the lotus has returned and it may be their best yet
this is the third effort from the psychopathic supergroup and its not as immediate as the previous efforts but it does continue to heavily mix thickly distorted guitars into their morbid hip hop mixture
the beats are thick and the groove is slow and the raps again crawl from the members mouths
the songs are fantastic and possibly some of the best there boys have crafted
my personal faves being in bloom withered for its slower dark hook and black sand for its fantastic jamie madrox lead chorus
overall i would highly recommend this to any juggalo out there you wont be disappointed

Rejuvinated old skool legends Erick Sermon & Parish Smith have come back to the fold with a classic album, and some of the best production in Hip-Hop history. Both men can hold their own with the best in the business - this album is excellent!

This has to be one of the best albums of all time! Not just Hip-Hop but, just of music in general. In late 1985 Kurtis Mantronik and MC Tee released 'Fresh Is The Word' as a 12" single on the New York based 'Sleeping Bag Records', and as a result of the success of that single - which had an immediate impact on the Hip Hop community - were able to go on to release this, the simply titled 'The Album'.
