When I first bought this I wasn't so keen on it but you HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT MORE THAN ONCE!! Don't track flick, listen to them all... Wyclef really shows his talent in tracks like RUNAWAY, HOLLYWOOD TO HOLLYWOOD (AMAZING!), DIALLO and 911! His guest singers e.g. The Rock, Earth Wind and Fire really add to the album making it a MUST BUY!! Seriously, I didn't like it at first but now I'm playing it all the time and I haven't got sick of any track, if you are into Wyclef then buy it and chill :D

this is luthers 2nd album from way back in 1982 and sees him maturing as a performer and writer. indeed he writes or co-writes 7 of the 8 tracks here, the odd one out being a great cover version of the temptations classic `since i lost my baby`. luther moves effortlessly between funky uplifting numbers (you`re the sweetest one, she loves me back) to some seriously lovely soulful love songs ( once you know how, promise me). there is not a bad track here only quality. but this is luther so what do you expect. altogether an excellent cd which you really should have in your rack.

Usually I can't stand poppy rubbish from someone like Janet Jackson. But this track is a real gem. The chorus gets right under you and lifts you onto the dancefloor. Nice one Janet!

WHY o why do the masses continually fail to catch on to this diva in waiting? Her last album 'A Love Supreme' has to be one of the most polished, consist efforts of recent times. Appearances on Soundtracks to the likes of 'Waiting to Exhale' and 'Stella got her Groove back' and 'Romeo must die' don't seem to have raised her profile any, and yet she blows the likes of Aaliyah, Janet, Mariah etc clean away.

This album while not to the same 5* standard of 'Love Supreme' is a gem! The head-bobbing gospel tinged 'Chante's got a man' is a surprisingly low key choice for the first single but the rest of the album (which utilizes production from the likes of Rodney 'Jennifer - Destiny's Child - Toni Braxton' Jerkins and 'Jackson faves' Jam and Lewis) perfectly ... Never mind the mention of 'explicit lyrics' in the title for this CD, the track 'Play' has had words removed to satisfy whatever overbearing record execs care about this stuff. I haven't checked the other tracks, that's enough for me to send this one back.

1) We need a resolution-This is the best and most original songs on the album in my view. The lyrics are cleaver and speak from the heart. When you hear the song, you think that her voice wouldn’t sound right with it. It’s very gritty, but Aaliyah’s smooth and unique voice contrasts with this brilliantly produced beat.
2) Loose rap-When I first heard the album; this was one of my least favourite tracks on it. However, the more I listen to it, the more it grows on me. The song at first is hard to follow, but it is really about how she doesn’t care what people say about her, it’s all just ‘Loose rap’.
3) Rock the boat-I really enjoying listening to this song if it’s raining, just reminds me of holidays ... Read More:
